Kevin Durant Had Discomfort Pushing Off Right Foot Throughout Rehab

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 11, 2019 1:45 pm

Kevin Durant was working to speed up the recovery from his calf injury from the Western Conference Semifinals, but he was still experiencing discomfort pushing off his right foot.

Sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports that Durant was "in agony because he was unable to help his teammates."

Durant was not anywhere close to 100 percent despite being cleared, according to sources.

Durant's status was a talking point because he wasn't ruled out indefinitely.

Between Kawhi Leonard and now Kevin Durant.... the NBA and the Players Union need to step in to make some changes to protect the health of the players.

The Warriors are clearly at fault here.

Even Steve Kerr helped create a media frenzy and pressure on Kevin Durant by using KD's injury like a chess piece, constantly making it seem like Durant could be back at any moment since the Rockets series. You have to protect Kevin Durant from himself, because it's easy to manipulate a player into playing when he shouldn't be.

KD should not have been on the court, period. The Players Union needs to step in and help make some changes.

LOL... So Durant should have been banned from playing? The NBPA is very unlikely to fight to limit the rights of the players. We all learned from Kawhi that players can decide not to play. Durant chose to play. Why blame others?

And how do you know it's a lie if you don't have facts? Remember, believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

There's video evidence of post game high-fives in the hallway, where his achilles is bandaged with ice packs.

Good post.
KD put himself in that pressured situation when he signed with them.
If he's injured then don't play. Period.

you realize that the Achilles is connected to the calf, right?

and there would no reason for both the warriors and Durant to keep it a secret that he was playing on a bad Achilles

and it would be bat**** crazy to do so w/ free agency around the corner. while not knowing what the on court effectiveness will even be

High and might of Warriors to keep deflecting this issue and point out to Raptors fans as being disrespectful. First off it was a knee jerk reaction by all of us. Everyone had a reaction when KD went down. It just turned that way on live TV. Warriors are feeling guilty and using this to take away the attention from the fact that they consciously threw KD to his death. Crying and showing emotions does not change the FACT they put his health, career and well being on the line for their own satisfaction. It bothers me that nobody is talking about this. Warriors PR are doing helluva job to not bring this up. The logic baffles me. I mean am I the only one here. Send your guy to his certain death and then blame the raps fans? Wtf

HORRIBLE ON GOLDEN STATE TO MAKE HIM PLAY!!!
I sense certain players from the Warriors have a feeling of guiltiness as there were plenty of news reports of players not being happy with KD and him not playing.
Factor that in to the Warriors never being honest on the injury, and using it as a tool in the series. If the public knew all the information, there wouldn't be all this pressure. Instead they kept it secret, applied pressure on him and eventually jeopardized his career and the game.
VERY SAD

Yes, agreed. They were playing smokescreen with the media on KD’s injury. One day they said he will play, and the other day they said it needs time, grey area to explain, like WTF. You already won 3 out of 4 times in last 4 years, and you were down 3-1, is it worth to just play like 10 minutes ball and risk his career.

I know KD wished to do so, but.....the medical staffs, the coaching staffs and the management team should not push this happen when your player not near 100%.....

No one knows for sure what went on over the last few months. Everything is speculation. My thoughts are he had a partial tear of the Achilles. Durant made the decision to play and golden state allowed him to. I think he was going to have surgery on his Achilles in the offseason anyways.
