Danny Green says Sixers were better than Bucks

Doesn't sound like it was simply a match up issue.

he's not necessarily wrong, Raptors turned out to be a really bad matchup against the Warriors too because of the size disadvantage

Sixers' real edge is that their second, third and fourth options are usually better than the opposing team. Being top heavy is much more palatable in the postseason.

It really comes down to Ben Simmons' inability to shoot imo. His improvement on that front, or lack thereof, will decide the team's potential going forward. That's if they bring back Butler and Harris, of course.

That was pretty obvious, the Sixers could defend everyone but Kawhi, the Bucks had a lot more defensive breakdowns.

Also, the Sixers size meant you couldn't really give FVV that much time, the Sixers second unit the smallest player was 6'7. The Bucks insisted on playing Bledsoe/George Hill, which gave FVV someone to matchup with.

I was honestly more scared playing Philly than I was playing the Bucks and a Durantless Warriors. I can still be proven wrong in the next two games but that's just how I felt.

I don't think many people argue against the talent of the Sixers, it's been a chemistry problem all season. They have more overall talent than the Raptors too IMO. As a Bucks fan I wanted to face the Raptors over the Sixers at the time, and I dont think I would change that even after losing.

Not all season, the starting unit played like 10 games together.

Any of the top 3 of the east could have made it to the finals and had a chance vs this iteration of GSW. Honestly, I wouldn't of been shocked if Boston got it's **** together and made a run either.

They obviously were. Butler/Simmons/Reddick/Harris is better than Bledsoe/Brogdon/Middleton/Lopez.

Giannis was shut down less than Embiid was (or faltered due to illness, however you want to explain it), but his defensive impact was well below Joel's.

So better supporting cast, better defensive anchor and more clutchness from Jimmy and there were a better team.

Not to mention Brown may not be as good a coach from a system perspective, but he was a better playoff coach than Bud.

Raptors = Charizard
Bucks = Venusaur
Sixers = Under leveled Blastoise

My childhood aside, Matchups and experience are so important.

Sixers had the talent, they're just a terrible fit.

This isn't really true. When they've played together they've been really good.

It's just there were three sixers teams last year - the pre-Butler team, the post-Butler team, and the Butler + Harris team.

The last one is really good and could be the number one seed next year if they stay together and don't lose too many games to injury/rest.

Sixers had talent , size and athleticism.

Milwaukee had a superior system throughout the regular season, but other than Giannis there was a glaring lack of athleticism and individual talent on that team. It's something that becomes more pronounced in the playoff setting.

They did give the champs their toughest series. And it was a toss up.

I don’t agree with terrible fit. Not as seamless as say the Raptors, but our starting lineup was never the issue. Our bench was.

That's great. I still say they're a bad fit, particularly Embiid and Simmons. They could win in spite of being a bad fit.

So the 3 best teams in the league are in the east?

You could take the best 10 out of GS minus KD and Bucks and I still think a healthy Embiid and a Ben Simmons with a midrange would be more daunting to defend for the Raptors.

If that core stays together I can see them being the next dynasty in the league.

They were. Way more talent and talent wins through in the playoffs. Bucks cast was overrated.

The Bucks were one free throw away from winning game 3 and they would be playing the warriors right now. I don't understand all of the cockiness from Raptor fans.
