Probably another reason why nothing has been disclosed from the Celtics side is 'cos Ainge and Griffin have a close relationship and don't want anything leaked in the media before anything's close to being done. It might just be the two of them talking terms (maybe Zarren as the 3rd guy and Griffin's assistant as the 4th guy). Those two could work with each other in good faith and would try to reach a compromise without the other thinking he's getting finagled.

Yeah the pressure is all on the Lakers... can't strike out again and they need to get AD on their roster ASAP so they can pitch to another FA.

Guy just wants to be happy for once. Be near his family and friends. None of the drama and expectations.
What if he just wants to play basketball near the place he grew up in?
Winning and money take a back seat. I'm not sure how media will stop dogging him though.
He very well could be, none of us know and I bet Kyrie hasn't even made up his mind yet.
Maybe Nets dont even have Kyrie as their #1 target and prefer Tobias who's a much better fit on their team and doesn't bring the lockerroom baggage. For Tobias, he gets to play in his hometown and be the main option again which I'm sure he liked being in LAC, whereas in Sixers he was much more in the background
The Nets maxing Harris ASAP makes a ton of sense - he gives them help at the power/stretch forward spot, and they get it done without alienating DAR into taking an offer sheet somewhere else and tying up their cap. If Kyrie is serious about Brooklyn, they know Boston is likely to be amenable to a sign and trade, and if they can't get that done they can either stick with Russell, who's restricted, or release him.

No I don't have any further info, it's all pretty quiet... We were always going for him regardless of Kyrie which I've said before.
Well one thing we know is.. Danny’s not all in on him. Because all in would mean Tatum, right? Would Danny be more willing to offer Tatum if getting AD meant keeping Kyrie?
Danny isn't going all in until he feels he needs to. And, despite all the media middle school drama, Ainge may already know Kyrie will come back and he will wait to the final minute to make a deal to make the best deal. Nobody is going to make Ainge show his full hand until the it's over.

Kyrie staying because of AD is like a 5% chance of happening.... the only reason i'd give it that 5% is because from what I know he's long gone and it would be a MASSIVE backflip on his part.
Edit: VERY happy to be wrong about that though if they get AD and Kyrie does stay and we build a true contender.

Plus we already know reload isn't Mike Zarren. That's why he doesn't know anything more right now.
Bulpett, Ainge's mouthpiece, in radio silence too feels weird.

Interesting. Well, if so, I would hope Ainge would have some follow up moves better than re-signing Rozier and Morris.

Hate to bug you with questions, but do you have a feel if they think a Kyrie S&T is possible at all? No worries if you can't answer or haven't heard.

I cant see Ingrim being any kind of asset with his health issues.

Why are there third teams? For Lonzo?
Supposedly NOP doesn't want the fourth pick (or Lonzo? unclear) and is hoping the Lakers can find a third team to give them a "high-level" player - the other reporting was "young all-star", "potential all-star", and picks, on a "sliding scale"
It doesn't entirely add up - but Chicago would either be sending Lavine to NOP in exchange for the 4/Lonzo, or sending the 7 or something else (Wendell Carter Jr.?) to NOP for Lonzo; Phoenix would be swapping the 6 for Lonzo, I guess, so that NOP would get Ingram, the 4th pick and the 6th pick in the draft; if it's the Hawks, that means either the 4 for the 8 and 10 or Lonzo for the 8; Washington would be moving either Beal (for 4/Lonzo or 4/Ingram) or the 9th pick (for Lonzo)

I think Benson's Pelicans are sending the Lakers on a snipe hunt to screw with Pelinka and Rich Paul, personally..

We knew the AD-to-LAL drumbeat would pick up about now. But I still struggle to see this Lakers package winning out.

Agreed the leaks have already started again and Demps is long gone.

Can’t say, as in I don’t know.... unfortunately I can’t rail off 10 questions and get answers for them

Who's rumored to be offering something and what are they offering?
I don't see much of value honestly.
Cant imagine many teams want to go out of their way to help the Lakers either, not without getting great value

I always felt that the 2nd star to pair with AD would be Bradley Beal or someone of that ilk. Kyrie coming back would be a massive surprise even though that 5% was before KD got hurt.

Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
Rich Paul’s comments are simply damaging the Pelicans. He made sure the return for the player will go down the gutter. Amazing he acts as if this is a vendetta. This coudl have been a private discussion behind closed doors. Both the pels and davies would get soemthing out of this. Now it seems like a player that cant shoot the ball is enough for a generational talent. Shouldnt th is be somehow managed by the NBA ?
If i were the pels i would make sure he doesnt land to LA. take any offer other than theirs. On the other hand holding grudges has no place in business.

If only Hayward didn’t stink and we could possibly trade him.
Statistically Hayward still had a better season than any of the Lakers youngins

Another scenario would be Jaylen to NOP, Smart/filler to HOU, Capela to NOP as the core of the deal.. Capela is closer to "young all-star" than Smart..

Rozier is a guy Ainge loves but realizes to bring him back he most likely has to give him the keys to the offense which I'm scared of. If you think he's going to take a back seat to someone like Conley then last year is going to look like an absolute picnic in comparison. Mook I think there's no shot unless Al leaves. I'd assume a S&T is possible though.
