There is not a chance in hell Rozier accepts that. He wants to be "the man". This is a guy who called himself a top PG and thought he should be starting over Kyrie. Do you really think his ego will allow him to take a backseat to Mike Conley?

Yes? He said he doesn't want to come back if the team stays the same.. 30-32 minutes a game would be a career high for him, he'd have a major role as the third guard..

If Irving and Hayward were off the team and they keep Jaylen, I think he’d come back.

It isn't really up to Rozier, he is RFA and didn't really have the kind of year that is going to have teams lining up to give him a cap space contract on an offer sheet.

They want it to be Conley.

I'd rather broaden the AD package to include Jrue. Younger than Conley and more versatile defensively, plus similar scoring punch.

True but he could also make the locker room more hostile than last year and become a massive distraction again. You need to make him "the man" or let him go.

Rozier sucks and is a cancer. If he gets an offer sheet, let him go regardless of the amount.

Starting to get the sense Ainge will go in on AD knowing it’ll cause friction in LA. What’re the Lakers going to do? Punt to another year of mediocrity with LeBron? If **** hits the fan they may trade him.

No way we can convince AD to stay pairing with 32 yr old conley.

Go sing MLE Pat Bev or Collison. Draft Edwards with 22 and let Rozier walk. Danny should have dealt Rozier last off season.

We need 2 of Brown, Tatum and Hayward to step up next year. If we deal one in a package for AD I'm fine with it.

Semi-realistic Rozier sign and trade: to Chicago, for 10-16 million a year, with Kris Dunn (7 million) coming back.. BYC skirted because Chicago is under the cap. Dunn would be an interesting backup point guard prospect - he can defend, but hasn't lived up to any of his draft hype except in flashes..

kyrie is gone, even without the reload bombs this would be obvious. i'm still thinking a sign-and-trade. kyrie doesn't want to give up cash, endorsements or not. get dinwiddie from the nets, they'll want to clear salary.

yeah i'm not scared of the LA or bust stuff from rich paul. how many times have we heard that story from FAs, only to see it fall thru. if LA doesn't get AD who are they going to get to help lebron? they might have a little better year but they are nowhere near contending and lebron is getting a year older every year.

AD wants to win now. pair him with some vets like smart, hayward, and maybe conley. NOLA made the conference semis once in his entire time there, with that team a semis appearance is the floor.

tbh i don't mind giving up tatum for AD. tatum needs to be the man to be effective. too much of a ball stopper for brad's offense, and he's not good enough for that. he's not kobe or harden.

I think the Celtics should pass on AD. The guy gets injured too often. Theres a good chance he gets injured next season and misses over 10 games. That would cost us games and lessen our chance of resigning him. Its just way to risky to give good assets up for one year of AD.

My understanding is that Kyrie doesnt make anything extra from going via S&T. He is still only eligible for 4y/5% compared to 5y/8% with us.

Correct. The last CBA torched the S&T thing

If Garland & White are gone by their pick, they could have interest. Though I may want a 3 team or just the TPE. Or Rozier.

i worry too but the two years prior to this he played 75 games each. last year he mostly just had an injured pride.

the one year thing is real but at the end of the day we can give him more money and years. i feel a lot more comfy paying a full max to AD than to kyrie. i just don't see him leaving for the train wreck that is the lakers.
