I only wanted Davis if Irving was staying.

He's said he'll stay if Kyrie is gone, he really likes it here.

But I see Ainge and him sitting down and going through his options still... Ainge does try and do the "right" thing by the players and they will totally have a discussion regarding the direction the franchise is going and if he wants to stay....if he stays what kind of contract or if he wants to ring chase the trade options.

Will bet money we have a better record next year without Kyrie than we did with him.

Question most likely better for another thread but this one is as active as it gets but what money are we looking at with Kyrie gone and if Al opts out?

What assets? lol

Reload stated Al didnt like Kyrie so he most likely sticks around now and we trade for another vet guard.

Al doesn’t like Kyrie? If you can’t get along with al then Kyrie might have a people problem.

No. What started it was inability to deal with the fact that

1. He was a bit bitter about their success without him
2. That he was frustrated with the entitled play of the young guys, and Brad for not being able to get them in line.

THEN he used his "role" as the "leader" to try to intervene (LeBron Style) and justify his frustrations.

Kyrie wasn't the initial problem. He just couldn't handle it and exasperated the issues.

This all is a result of Kyrie's lack of self awareness and emotional intelligence, which of course results in this reaction formed pseudospirtual intellectual persona he currently wears. I've said this before, but he acts a lot like someone who's been predisposed for substance induced psychosis (weed CAN do that; as a social worker, I've seen similar patterns)

Not saying he will be.. I don't think he will. But my point is that the dude is all over the place, he's super flighty, and really needs to get his stuff together and his mind right. Because I don't think he's 100% "right" maybe 88%

So Kyrie is missing a few screws and makes bad situations worse because of it. And this is the guy that you suggest trading everyone away and firing the head coach to appease?

Can you not see how someone unstable like that isn't necessarily the best person to try and build your franchise around? Kyrie is the type who's off court issues have on court implications as we saw this year. This is why lesser players like IT and Rozier can take the team just as far in the playoffs in his place.
I hear you and you have a point. He's replaceable.

But I want to build around Davis, Davis and Kyrie. if Davis is returnable without Kyrie then by all means. I only wanted Kyrie to stay here, and I wanted him to be appeased because I felt he was an absolute necessity to build a championship team around Davis if we trade for him. So in that regard yes.

However, if we can still trade for Davis and build the contender around him, then by all means Kyrie can go climb a mountain in Kathmandu

Yep. It's very telling. Kyrie is the same guy who cried about not having vets. Good riddance loser.

So if no trade by the draft, LA's out? Seems their deal is contingent on the #4 pick and whatever pick they get for Lonzo.

They've finally bothered to look at the roster post-Kyrie.

This is how the celtics lost out on acquiring Kawhi, the same thing is about to happen with Anthony Davis. 1 championship in 11 years is not good. It is not acceptable.

This is an old article, but the author just re-posted it...

https://heavy.com/sports/2019/03/anthony-davis-boston-celtics-jayson-tatum/

The Boston Celtics still do have a chance to acquire Anthony Davis.

Speaking to a league source yesterday afternoon, the Celtics would have to guarantee two key players in any deal for Davis.

“Celtics have to include Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart,” a source who is in direct contact with the New Orleans Pelicans front office told me via text message.

and later on the Lakers...

Per a Pelicans source who spoke on the condition of anonymity via text message:

“Internally, Pels are still interested in Lakers offer. But would love for Lonzo [Ball] to be a part of it. They feel he could thrive alongside [Jrue] Holiday. Fine with Kuzma/Ingram and think they could win with that roster next year.”

What if we sent Horford to the Spurs, Derozan and Tatum to the Pelicans, and Davis to the Celtics? Insert picks where needed.
