End of 2019 Season Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Coxy » Fri Jun 14, 2019 4:29 am

What a season!!

I am sooooo proud of the Warriors this season. Never has a team had to go through as much as they did in a playoff run to will their way to Game 6 of an NBA finals. Credit to the Raps for winning, some great players in that group that you can't hate on for winning, but the real story is the Warriors injuries and how hard we had to fight to not get swept. The tole of playing in 5 straight finals series came crashing down on us, and we were lucky to hang in the way we did, never underestimate the heart of a champion.

Plenty to look forward to going into the off season, and no reason to be disappointed. We literally dragged each other to that result, what an effort.

The heart of this group is huge, and they have my heart in turn. Couldn't be more proud. The Raptors may be champs on the books, but we all know what would have happened if we didn't get decimated by the injury gods.

Well done 2019 Golden State Warriors, only injuries stopped us in the end. You guys deserve a massive spring break style holiday.

I'm incredibly proud of the guys. Can't say much more. They fought like the champions they are.

Just to get it out of my system: If we were as healthy as the Raptors, we would have won the series 4-1 or 4-2 at the longest.

Our guys played with heart until the end. Can't be mad about the outcome with everything that went against us in these playoffs.

Initial reaction is that it feels like the end of our run, but that feeling for me is probably due to so much uncertainty going forward. As long as Curry and Klay are our foundation, we have another several years to build around that to get after more titles.

Absolutely agree! Couldn't ask for anything more from our guys. They had no business making it to game 6 of the finals, and yet there they were. If Klay remains upright, we likely force game 7 and from there we have a great shot at taking it all, again. But it wasn't to be. Way too much adversity to overcome, in the end. It will be very interesting to see what the front office does in the coming years to get us back to the top while we still have the greatest backcourt of all time still near the top of their games.

They fought hard, till the last minute.
I am extremely proud of all of them but still devastated by the injuries to Klay and KD.

KD has to come back now, doesn’t he? Finish what you started. Punt next season and go at it again in ‘21 with Durant, Klay, Draymond and Steph for 2-3 last hoorays.

Unfortunately I think Iguodala will be long retired by then but I’m sure Myers can find some replacements in the mean time.

Championship heart in the playoffs.
It was a little bit of a rough season but we showed that when healthy we are the best team in the nba.

Impressive Push despite being depleted by our Warriors

I'm proud of our 5 year run and excited to see our next chapter over the next 5 years!

You guys are gonna make me cry

I've been waiting for the huge wave of disappointment to hit me but it's still not here. All I have in my heart is appreciation and thankfulness for the great run especially during these playoffs with how we were written off so many times to prove them wrong.

Hoping our boys don't take it too hard. They played with all they got and should be proud of themselves for fighting to the bitter end. After five years, they deserve much needed rest. Praying for perfect recovery for Klay and KD

So proud of this team. Although we lost in the finals in some strange way ive never been happier with a team after defeat. They all showed a true togetherness, character and put their bodys and future on the line for the Golden State Warriors. Might be the end of an era, but something we will never ever forget.

I'm sad about the guys who are dealing with the injuries, but for the franchise, and us as fans, this type of series is the best way to end a streak, and reload to go right back at it.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

In some ways this was the most impressive of the playoff runs. Almost everything went wrong: a different key player injured every five minutes, our bench was thinner than Taylor Swift, time started taking its toll, Warriors hate was everywhere, and, yet, they almost pulled it off. Winning definitely isn't everything and this postseason really proved that. They fought and clawed and just simply ran out of bodies and energy. They were truly f'ing giants.

This summer will definitely be more intriguing than any in recent memory and I'm here for it. Go Dubs!

Yeah honestly, of all the years, this is the year I was proudest of them despite the L - to fight and claw despite injuries showed proper heart. And now regardless of what happens the superteam era is over - so we can go back to clobbering people the old fashioned way.
