don't downplay green. he isn't klay or durant with scoring, but those two have chemistry that can't be taught. you put a shooter, a scorer, and a perimeter defender on that team, and they're still dangerous

Without going into a long and drawn out detailed break down of this raptor team- just at a glance
this team doesn't just have a super star and depth...This core that won it all has an extensive amount of stripes
and experience consistently winning and competing at each level throughout their careers:

STARTERS
K. Leonard-(27) two way -Super star -Dpoy -champion
M. Gasol-(34) 3x all star-DPOY-
D. Green (31) all defense- 1 nba and ncaa championship
S. Ibaka (29) 3x all defense-2x block champ
K. Lowry-(33) 5x all star

N. Powell- (26) at the very least solid bench player who plays defense and hit the 3 at a 40% clip...
F. VanVleet- (25)d -league champion
P. Siakam -(25) d league champion and d league finals mvp- could be nba's most improved player

Kawhi was the glue that lead this team and brought the best out of all of these guys...HOWEVER, It takes much more than just putting top players
together to win it all...

Just a few days ago ppl were trashing Klay as if he wasn’t the only one who showed up every game.

He plays, this goes to 7. He was on his way to 50.

26.0 PPG 4.8 RPG 2.4 APG 0.8 SPG
54% FG 59% 3PT 88% FT

Can lace them up for me anytime.

Some folks here wouldn’t want him.

So... 76ers gave the cRaptors the toughest series... If Kawhi stays and 76ers keep all their guys, we could see a pretty good rivalry for the next 3-4 years.

If your Cousins, what are you thinking right now? You just joined a team with Klay, Curry, Green, Durant. Were supposed to turn their big 4 into a big 5. And failed. Yikes....

Curry’s not good enough to carry a team by himself. He’s not good enough to be the main guy on a title team(2015 Cavs were killed by injury)

This narrative some people have that Curry is a peer to a Lebron and on the same level
as a player is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

It’s like saying Isiah was as good as Jordan.

But if you ask most people here, you should be only going for max superstars at each position, duh.

Some people here are either delusional or don't know basketball. It's not 3 stars and scrubs.

The Raptors don't have any max player. They have probably the best player.

And Lowry is technically a max player. Gasol got a max contract.

They also needed major injuries from the Warriors to get the job done.

3&D!

How many 3&D guys get you 20-25 PPG?

He’s being penalized for maximizing the opportunity he’s been given on this roster.

Not a cap expert by any means but will they have some money to sign someone? Assuming Durant and Cousins don’t come back.

Not sure what their cap is like, I assume they will stay as is and give Curry+Dray as much time to rest to recharge for 2021.

Return to New York Knicks
