Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
Well now knowing KD & Klay are our for next season I definitely do not want to see Lebron & AD team up.
Considering their is no clear favourite next season we trade for AD no matter what. If we put the right pieces around AD next season I believe we can win it regardless if Kyrie was here or not.

WTF does he care about?
Clearly not making sure nobody wears #11 in Boston again.
I'm pretty far down the list of anti-Kyrie guys, but he's a strange duck.

Yes. A lot of bickering and same old tired arguments on this thread lol. Possibly some name-calling.

I think we don't get AD if we have to include Tatum. I really believe that.

I really hope a 3rd party emerges. But it's time to go all in with GSW finished.

I'm skeptical AD and LeBron will be a powerhouse because LeBron may not hold up physically. He's 15th in career minutes and turns 35 in December. Kobe Bryant, a guy with similar career minutes, tore his Achilles at age 35.

Idk. This guy hasn’t slowed down at all. Basketball is a very demanding sport. He has played a ton of minutes throughout his career but he still looks good.

Pelicans will be even less likely to deal him to the Lakers IMO. They essentially giving them a championship (if they stay healthy).
I think at the end of the day IF it is the best deal they’ll do it. Griffin is pretty rationale he’s not gonna let spite stop them from doing what’s best for his team. IF and it’s a big IF but if best deal they’ll do it.
It wouldn't be out of spite. It's a sound basketball decision to not create a potential juggernaut within the same conference. A team that you meet four times a year and a road block in the playoffs.
The Lakers offer, without a third team, isn't much. Unless everyone gets scared off, Griffin will not gift the Lakers AD.

He spends a couple million dollars during the offseason on equipment for his work outs.

He has already played more minutes than jordan in a career.

LeBron has definitely slowed down. He can't sustain his defensive effort during the regular season and was regularly flat out terrible on that end. Plus he had the injury. It's the right move for the Lakers to pony up for AD but it's no guarantee with LeBron's age looming as a major factor for that team.

Not if you can realistically look at yourself and say we aren’t going to be a championship contender for 3-4 years. You have to be realistic. the best case for the pels if they try and win now is at best a top 4 seed in the west (as the 4 seed) and that’s if everything clicks and they get a 3rd team involved or the right pieces in a trade.
Zion has the chance to be generational but he’s 19. Tatum would be 21 or Ingram 22 etc. don’t worry about building a juggernaut

I don’t get why davis would have any interest in la la land. Any success and lebroni will get all the credit. Idk if they all the pieces but the west will be wide open now with the durant and Thompson injuries.

Lakers have to go all in for AD. It's part of having Lebron, you can't build for the future with a 35 year old Lebron. You trade whatever NO wants for AD and then go all in for a couple years until Lebron retires and then rebuild around AD as the face of the franchise.

He missed 27 games last year. I believe every NBA play has had a major decline around the 45,000 minute mark. Maybe Lebron sustains a couple more years, because he does things other stars haven't, like take PED's.

Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
I feel like it's time for Danny to shoot his shot with AD. He's supposedly been waiting on his for years and now is the time. I don't care about what AD/Rich Paul says about AD not resigning. AD is an easy influenced a wishy washy guy. Just like last year when we supposedly gave a list of teams but then he himself said that all 29 teams were on his list.
This is all Klutch's doing... He signed with them in September of 2018. Before that he was the perfect solider in New Orleans, playing hard, going to work, and never complaining, even signing an extension. He signs with Klutch and everything changes in 3-4 months. They're telling that he can go to L.A., play with Lebron, you can be in movies, you don't want to be in Boston, that's not good for your "brand" yadda, yadda, yadda. But AD isn't Lebron and he's never going to be a star like Lebron. The only reason they're telling him that is to benefit one person.... LEBRON.
Now, knowing that one can assume that if you've been influenced once, then you can be influenced again. If Ainge trades for him he gets a chance to showcase what a good organization, with a good team, and great fans feels like. All of those things he never had in NOLA. If he wants to go to L.A. to their dumpster fire of an organization to play with 35 year old Lebron after that, then so be it. Hell, if I'm Ainge I would do it just out of spite to screw up another year of Lebron's career.

What the hell is taking so long. Shows how much “sources” know.
