Only six days before the draft
A lot of psychotic breaks can happen here in those six days, but I can't bear to watch

I like Trier. Another guy who has his contingent of bashers. Now getting competent UDFA's isn't good enough for people.
Shoot first everything else second player.

Nope. He's good.
He's sorta both. He's very good at what his role is and certainly for his price tag.
He's probably being overrated by those who expect him to become much more than that.
He could be making 2X what he is now and still be solid value. He can play. He's a solid 6th man candidate, or at least a rotational bench scorer on most any team in the league, minutes to vary on the overall quality of their bench. But he cracks nearly every rotation.
And even though he's a 35 year old rookie, he's still a rookie, so there's room for some growth, though obviously as a 3 year college guy who reclassed etc about 12 times, the ceiling is lower, as, obviously, is his floor, which we already just saw.

Would be hilarious if Nets renounced DLO...They sign Kyrie...and then we sign DLO and DLO balls out and wrecks Kyrie game in and game out. Im not on the DLO train, but cant deny he still can improve and become a top tier PG in the league depending how he progresses these next few years.

Yeah, you'd almost think he's a rookie instead of being a vet on a massive contract. For f*cks sake.
Yeah, you know, posts like this I'm officially glad KP got traded and Durant blew out his achilles. And hopefully Kawhi goes to chill in San Diego.
Fans here really don't deserve better.

Do it without giving up Mitch and 3 and I would go ape. AD still scary to be testing free agency though.

Because his contract is now eligible to be traded. OR we can just be giving him confidence by not waiting it out.

He proved he can be an efficient bench scorer at 23 years old. Who the hell is overrating him here?
Guys will find any reason to hate on Knicks players for no reason. He's making 3.5 mill. CTFO
He's a ISO player that showed last year he only cares about his own stats and didn't quite get along with all of his teammates because of it. He doesn't play defense either. The kid can absolutely score the ball and get to the foul line. I'm not and never would say he can't score but i believe in team basketball and it only takes one bad apple in a locker room to screw up team chemistry. Now of course he hasn't showed that he's so bad that he's gonna ruin a locker room but there are certain things there with him that you could point to saying he could be that kind of guy. I don't hate Trier but there are some who overrate him on here.

I can't imagine why anyone would be against this signing. That's an excellent value for a guy with his level of production. I just hope he works a bit on his playmaking ability this summer since he showed flashes of being an effective PnR player. There were several instances of him and Robinson working the PnR to perfection last year.
He's a very good sparkplug off the bench. Just needs to round out his game a bit but he's already a deadly midrange shooter, excellent FT shooter and a dangerous player in isolation sequences.
