Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 14, 2019 6:48 am

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said that a Toronto Raptors executive was involved in an altercation with a sheriff's deputy after game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Witnesses on the scene say that the altercation involved Masai Ujiri.

Sheriff's are calling the incident a misdemeanor battery on an officer and plan to hand the case to a district attorney.

Executives behaving badly? Overzealous security? Or a little of both? Certainly the Raptors President would have credentials, was he not wearing them? And does the sheriff deputy/arena security not know who Masai Ujiri is to the point you try and grab him to stop him from celebrating his team's first NBA championship?

There's actual video evidence showing him moments before he headed towards the court. Masai was watching the game from in the tunnel on a TV. As soon as the buzzer sounded he celebrated with another guy who was with him and then they headed towards the court and you can clearly see him holding his credentials/pass in his hand.

There's also a still photo of him with the same credentials in his hand just moments before the officer confronted him.

On top of that there's a GSW season ticket holder who claims he saw the whole thing and stepped forward after he read about the lies the officers made up. He said the officer never asked for credentials and simply blocked him from getting in.

They owe Ujiri a public apology and that officer needs to be let go.

Sick of this. Officers like that get innocent officers hurt or killed.
