I always find it funny how once a transaction is done, minutes after- the local writers have all this new info to put out. As if they were withholding news.

Jabari Parker is someone I would bring in with this group. He is too good to not succeed in this league.

Jabari Parker?!?!? make it stop!!
Don't sleep on Parker. The kid is still young and will bounce back from the knee injuries. Not a defensive force but can score at all 3 levels with the best of them. He can be a nice compliment to Mitch at the 4.

Lonzo does everything you want from a PG either good or great besides his shooting. His court vision is top notch and his passing is top notch and his defense is really good but the kid just can't shoot. If he could at least hit his free throws at a good percentage then i could get by with that for sure. I still think he can be the starting PG on a winning team. He's not what we want Frank to be because we want Frank to be able to shoot.

Do you think if you say KP sucks but our young players are all awesome you’re gonna somehow speak it into existence?

Not a defensive force?

He literally said that he doesn't get paid to play defense.

He's basically Michael Beasley Redux

Lonzo is fine. Except he won't remodel his shot. We just saw snippets of Frank with a tweaked shot. Lonzo is never going to shoot decently, including from the line, until he faces up to his broken technique. Other things - defense, court vision on offense etc don't need work (in comparison - obviously everyone can improve everything a little).

via ESPN: new mock draft that has Pelicans taking Culver, "....Lonzo Ball (someone New Orleans general manager David Griffin is extremely high on)"

wasn't there a video that Griff said he wasn't that high on Lonzo?

kp is good. the question is can he stay healthy and is he 2nd best player on a contender good. you had to pay him before you knew the answer. if he was here i would have signed him, but i understand the trepidation so i didn't really mind that they didn't.

He shot 32% last year from 3. Not saying that's great or even good but it's not horrible. Is it that unrealistic to believe he can get up to 35% in a few years? With everything else he brings to the table as a player if he shoots just 35% from 3 hes going to be an extremely useful player especially in the playoffs because hes in the 99th percentile of the NBA as far as decision making goes. He just processes the floor so much faster than a Frank does for comparison. With Frank you NEED him to shoot with Lonzo it's a bonus to everything else. That's the difference for me.

I know I was being sarcastic. Plenty of guys have started off their careers as negative defenders and ended up passable due to scheme. What does it hurt to sign him and take the time to develop him properly with guys around his age?

He should hold a lottery on this forum for one season roster spots and pay us cap accordingly.
1) Make lots of people happy.
2) Guaranteed high draft pick.

There's also the very real question of, if he stays healthy, can he maintain stamina across a full season AND through the playoffs you're expecting to get to by giving up as much as Dallas did.
