The Lakers should really go for a bunch of competent players rather than another star. They have the guys they need in the clutch, now they need some dependable guys around them.

That is much better then wasting quarter of their cap on one player. Lakers are better off going after after good role players .. like Patrick Beverley, Danny Green, Dante Cunningham, Mike Scott, Mbah Moute, etc ..

By waiting the 30 days, Los Angeles would be acting like a team over the cap and would be allowed to use the fourth pick in the draft as salary. I was under the impression that New Orleans would have to make the pick and then wait 30 days in order to make the money work. Ball, Ingram, and Hart won’t get you close enough to Davis’ salary for a trade. I could be off on this.

Easily Kyrie. Kyrie is the better player and you already know what he looks like playing alongside LeBron.

I think what's important is it looks like the Pelicans said yes over another team's 5 million for the opportunity to have the 4th pick in hand before the Lakers, and every other team with draft picks this year, drafted their own guy.

There aren't many details now in general, I suppose there's no confirmation. We'll see. I'm also more of a proponent of breaking up that 27-32m into 2-3 yr contracts (align with Lebron) to build out a sustainable, good, deep team that actually plays for each other instead of their next deal. And I think if push came to shove, Kemba would take a 5m discount and easily make it up in LA with Jordan brand.

AD will waive the trade kicker. That puts them at 30% max is they waive Wagner/Bonga if I'm not mistaken. They can offer everyone the max except KD, who's not going there anyway and wouldn't make sense. Kemba might even take a slight discount if it lets them keep/acquire pieces.

Lakers should go after Jimmy Butler. He’s a second ball handler that also brings a strong defensive presence. Lakers will need defence on the wings. Butler is that dude. If it’s between Kyrie and Kemba, I choose Kyrie because his age at least lines up with AD.
