Mecca of basketball It's the best place for him to get redemption after all the criticism he got joining Warriors... His character fit NYC... Knicks have young talant like RJ, Knox, Mitchell, who have full year to be devolp without KD, Knicks could have room for another max guy next to KD...

That's just bad luck on the surface. Maybe it turns out better for them? I was absolutely sure they'd get ad, kd, Kyrie and run the East. But kd getting hurt badly messed all that up.

Screwed? Nah. The Knicks have been trying to shortcut their way to contend too many times and failed. Rebuilding is what they should have done and hopefully continue to do.

With their cap space, they should use it to take crappy 1-2 year contracts from other teams for draft picks and just play their young guys.

Davis was always going to LA. Durant probably was never coming to NY anyways.

I’m skeptical of this rebuild. It’s a disjointed roster coached by a coach that doesn’t penalize bad habits. The Knicks, if theystrikeout in FA, are in desperate need of some stable vets to even things out (Collison, Mcconell, Danny Green). Winning 15 games again isn’t a rebuild nor are you “developing” anyone that way.

Erm the culture reset at the top is already done. Steve Mills and Scott Perry have changed the atmosphere at MSG and they have managed their assets very well the last two years. About James Dolan, well, he’s the owner so he’s not going anywhere. His approach has been hands-off since hiring (and firing) Phil. I just hope he doesn’t react emotionally when the Knicks strike out in FA. That’s my only fear.

The Knicks are well-run. They just need more time.

Honestly once the KD scenario was over, so was the pursuit of Davis. Not that anything was guaranteed, but at least people had to think that two max slots and assets to trade for a third was interesting to say the least.

Kinda sucks since the league is so wide open.

Need to draft better and more cohesively. Barrett doesn’t fit at all especially if they believe Knox can be a starter. Mills M.O. has been to just acquire scorers and hope it works out. Phil for all his faults at least knew you had to build a cohesive roster and generate ball movement.

He needs to win in order to get that redemption. Picking the Nets would be a lot safer in this case.
