It's just another example about nobody not knowing anything.

Edit: Centers just aren't valuable unless they can do something really special. Or they can shoot. Best case he becomes DAJ and even he won't get more than the tax MLE I'll predict.

ESPN had us taking Okeke in their televised mock draft and he's the guy I might be zeroing in on. Without the ACL injury he probably goes late lottery. Can spread the floor, decent size, is athletic enough to switch on smalls, and really gets after it on defense. Sign me up.

It's not that he's bad. He's good at what he does, he just doesn't do enough. Just bring in Sagaba as a priority UDFA instead and draft someone actually built for the modern game.

Still on Sirvydis. Think he's an "open 3s are free throws" guy with more to his game.

Absolutely with you. Loved and love his game and have been admiring him even more since I read this back yonder https://www.thestepien.com/2018/09/22/international-sleeper-deividas-sirvydis/

The Stepien guys seemed pretty down on Sirvydis’s frame and ability to ever play passable defense. I’m always into that kinda range though.

I mean, that is valid points when looking at a modern NBA landscape. He isn't valueless. However, Gafford would allow for a ton of vertical spacing and instant pick and roll offense. He's a center yes, but he would be a good compliment to Giannis on the floor and we do need a center even if we do bring back Lopez. We still could use another center - but again this is guesswork.

Elite athleticism is a trait.

Really hope the Bucks can make a move to get NOP pick. I think Hunter is perfect for this team and system.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I disagree with the Stepien guys on a lot of things. Yes his frame is bad but so is plenty of others who play big minutes at SG. I think he'll cope.

Cheick Diallo has elite athleticism, developed pretty well for 3 years and still ends up being a min guy. Probably. I get why you want Gafford. I'm not saying he's not talented. The problem is what he brings is a certain skill set in a totally oversaturated market. He truly would have to be the best of the best at what he does. And if he's the best of the best at what he does, he wouldn't go 30. I'll call out every team that picks a big that cannot shot or do anything else than roll/rebound cause that pick will probably end up doing nothing. Shooting, elite rim protection or playmaking is what I'd look at to draft a center. Unless we are talking top 10.

Love him. I'm wondering why he's not getting any first round hype. There has got to be something which is holding him back.

Draft starts at pick #4 now, wonder if the Pelicans go after Goga or Sekou
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

The Pelicans would be crazy not to take Bol at #4 imo. Ingram Zion Bol as the future front court has INSANE potential.

Yep, kid is fun to watch, good decisions with the ball and ability to do everything offensively. Like him a lot

He's making really good reads as a passer. I don't know enough about him to have a clear opinion but he feels way undermocked. From what I've seen he compares mostly favourably to Huerter who went 19 last year and had a good rookie season.

Yeah, if I'm NOP I would be absolutely enamored with the idea of Zion and Bol as my future 4/5 combo moving forward. A 6'8" brick **** house and a 7'3" gazelle with range on his jumper would be too much for me to pass up personally.

For anyone interested, there's a draft picking contest at the NBA Draft Forum. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1851030
