Sixers to hire Cameron Hodges, shooting coach from the Spurs

I know nothing about him, but I’ll take anyone from the Spurs to help us.

this is great news.

I am sure Townsend is good at his craft but it obviously has not worked out. So more voices towards that can only help...for more than just Ben.

I was gonna say a shame he couldn't have been here to help Fultz, but I'm not sure Merlin could fix Fultz.

Probably 90% of Brett Brown’s contacts on his phone are guys working for the Spurs.

Haha, nah, Brett's a popular guy. It's probably more like he has 90% of the Spurs staff in his contacts.

Zhaire shot 38% from three from the six games he played didn't he? I think he only went one game where he didn't hit a three so that's encouraging considering the problems we've had with Ben and Markelle.

Yes, Zhaire shot 6/16 from 3PT in 6 games (37.5%)

I've been begging for years for the Sixers to tap into a team with an established history of improving its players shot mechanics and on court results. It's about dang time.

It is never fun to see someone losing his job. However, Townsend probably got this job because of his connections with BC and his vision on shooting mechanics are vastly outdated imo.

The moment those first workout videos with Simmons were released I've expressed my concerns about his shooting development. Let's hope that someone else can do a better job.
