Chris Paul Seeks Trade From Rockets Due To Issues With James Harden

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:46 pm

The situation between James Harden and Chris Paul has been termed "unsalvageable" by sources who spoke with Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports. Both Harden and Paul have gone to the Rockets wanting to part ways.

Paul demanded a trade from the Rockets while Harden issued a "him or me" edict.

Paul and Harden went nearly two months without speaking to each other. Harden hasn't returned Paul's attempts at communicating since the end of their season.

Honestly, who would want CP3's contract? It'd have to be a swap for another terrible contract. Here's a few scenarios off the top of my head:

Celtics get: CP3
Rockets get: Hayward

Bulls get: CP3 + Future 1st (protected)
Rockets get: Otto Porter Jr

Heat get: CP3 + Future 1st (protected)
Rockets get: Waiters + Whiteside

Terrible timing for it to all come crashing down.

Next season would have been their best chance to win.

I don’t think CP3 is tradable. I think Rockets only choices are running it back or trading Harden and building around CP3/Capela.

I don't see Celtics making that deal. Hayward value is low right now but he could have a great season especially if Irving is gone he'll get more touches... Maybe

Once the Knicks swing and miss on the big dogs, they will use their cap space to trade for Chris Paul and sign Jabari Parker.

You are no Bulls fan. That **** sucks for Chicago. We don't need any more washed up players.

If I'm Charlotte, I'd rather take CP3 than give Kemba a 5 year max deal.

Do Batum + Biyombo + Malik Monk for CP3 + Capela and let Kemba walk.

The Lakers don't have $40 million in cap space and would not want Paul. Would love to see him end up there though. Would guarantee they won't win anything.

Why? Kemba is in his prime and Paul is almost completely washed up. Stop living in the past.

Once the Lakers sign some role players in FA they won't have enough salaries to match to get Paul

Lmfao take away CP3's line about his contract and replace his name with Dwight Howard and history is literally repeating itself. Harden, CP3 and Dwight are all in the same club - dominating personalities who kill coaches and teams and will never win a ring like a team-first alpha named Kawhi Leonard. Boys you are in the nba not AAU. Oh yeah and don't forget their 4th banana Melo.

If he gets traded the Rockets for sure won’t get value back without tossing in other assets. However this works out it sounds like the end of James Harden and the Rockets championship run for a while.

Before anyone suggests Minnesota, keep in mind that Chris Paul was demanding the ball from James Harden, the NBA’s best score!

After the Jimmy Butler debacle in MIN, there is NO way they’d subject Karl-Anthony Towns to “I Don’t Want to be Here,” Round 2.

Other than a straight swap for an injured John Wall or a horrible pack such as Wiggins + Dieng, I don't see any other possible trade that doesn't require 2/3 1st rds and/or Capela and ruins the Rockets' future
