For those who want Cam Johnson this year, imagine if we'd have drafted Michael Porter at #16 last year.

It's a weird draft. There's probably 4 or 5 guys projected to go in the late teens or twenties that I would rather have than a few guys pretty likely to go in the top-10.

- NAW
- Terence Davis
- Jarrell Brantley
- Dedric Lawson
- Quinndary Weatherspoon

I'll be pretty annoyed.

I'll be fine leaving with one of:

- Nic Claxton
- DaQuan Jeffries
- Louis King
- Mfiondu Kabengele
- Jaylen Nowell
- Jordan Poole

I'll be ecstatic if:

Any one (1) of Langford or Bol falls to #24.
or
We get any two (2) of Kabangele, Norvell, Fernando, N. Walker, McDaniels, PJ Washington or L King.

I'll be fine with:
Any of Nic Claxton, Dedric Lawson, Halen-Tucker, Jarrell Brantley, Okeke, Dort

Meh:
Paschall, Thybulle, Carsen Edwards

I'll be disappointed with:
Grant Williams, Okpala, Cam Johnson

Langford, from purely an offensive standpoint, is definitely intriguing and I could come around for that pick. Bol Bol shouldn't fall to us and if he does, I'd definitely be interested in taking him. But that's a year of paying for someone to sit.

Hoops Rumors:

Some members of the Knicks organization believe Garland is a better prospect than Barrett, according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News. The Pelicans have discussed teaming Barrett with his Duke pal, Zion Williamson, and may be willing to surrender an asset in addition to the fourth pick to trade up to No. 3. After yesterday’s workout, Garland met with Knicks president Steve Mills, GM Scott Perry and coach David Fizdale.
If the Knicks draft a point guard, they may look to trade Dennis Smith Jr. along with Frank Ntilikina, tweets Steve Popper of Newsday.
The Hawks might not be done moving second-round picks after sending No. 44 to the Heat yesterday and No. 41 to the Warriors this morning. Chris Vivlamore of the Journal-Constitution tweets that Atlanta’s selection at No. 35 is also available.
Darius Bazley appears to have a first-round promise from somebody, tweets Tony Jones of The Athletic.
Scouts tell Sean Deveney of The Sporting News that Auburn’s Chuma Okeke, Oregon’s Bol Bol, Virginia’s Ty Jerome and Arkansas’ Daniel Gafford are being underrated in pre-draft reports.
Teams with late first-rounders are focusing on Villanova’s Eric Paschall, tweets Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, who expects him to be taken between 19th and 30th.

-wouldn't be surprised if no swaps picks with nyk with the pelicans getting barrett and the knicks getting darius garland
-i still have feelings for dsj as a backup, lou williams-type scorer.
-wouldn't mind being that team who gave a promise to darius bazely
-i don't believe in any of the fives besides gafford. havent seen goga, though. would be highly disappointed but only mildly surprised if he goes before #24. best combination of speed, strength, size and coordination of all the c prospects. destined to be a quality backup for years. not sure any of the others will be in the league in four years. maybe bruno fernando, but also as a longterm backup.

RJ Barrett as a top 3 pick, has disaster written all over it.

I wish they represented the rest of the league. And the funniest part is that Billy King is one of the fake gms, which everyone is going to laugh at becaue of the BOS/BKN trade, but without realizing he hit on a fairly extraordinary number of first round and second round picks during his time with the sixers: willie green, kyle korver, lou williams, sam dalembert, nazr mohammed, todd maccollough, speedy claxton; not to mention andre igoudala and thaddeus young still in the league.

Speedy Claxton wasn't a good pick, but your point is correct. Billy King was a very good drafter. Just horrible at everything else.

24: Matisse Thybulle
33: Chuma Okeke
34: Terence Davis

That's my prediction.

It's weak in the traditional sense of the number of "high upside" starter level prospects with a decent chance of making it. If you're after role players it's probably going to turn out OK. Good draft for us actually with our needs and where our picks are.

We're likely to pick up a better player with one of our other picks compared to our first rounder.

He had a solid career for a 20th pick in the draft. That was also one of the worst drafts of all time top to bottom

Hoping this is just mock draft group think around a team that no one has intel on. As the draft gets close the people that do these mocks don’t want to do worse than their peers, so best to just fall in line if you don’t know.

Happens a lot in political polling close to elections too. Don’t want to be the one outlier that’s wrong.

I distinctly remember cursing out loud for picking Speedy Claxton over Michael Redd. A frickin 511 PG from Hofstra of all places. SMH

Yea me too. Either that or I hope he can become a catch and shoot SF because he doesn't rebound particularly well, doesn't block shots, doesn't cause deflections. He has an OK shooting profile. It's not like he has elite length for a PF. I'm not sure what the allure is here.

Iverson was gonna get traded to the Pistons that summer. Geiger refused to waive his no trade and the rest is history.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
