2018-2019 Draft Day Thread
It has finally come, though it is somewhat anti-climactic and less interesting with the Jazz only owning the 53rd pick, but who knows, maybe they'll manage to trade into the draft or buy a pick.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

It sucks watching these teams constantly by into the second round and we do nothing.

Oh, we do something, usually trading or selling our 2nd rounders to others, whose players then become good role players (e.g. Hart, Bryant, etc.).
If there was a year to buy an early 2nd, this is it.

The Pacers got #32 to take Warren...what? Great deal for them. Pairing him with Rubio is going to be really good for him too.

Today is going to be epic. Jazz better jump on one of those early 2nd round picks while they are still available.
BTW, PHX front office is prime target to take advantage of in future, they are dumb as rocks.

The amount of trades prior to the draft seems very high. Seems like a result of teams stockpiling picks over the years. The Jazz should have plenty of opportunity to buy a late first or early second round pick.

If the jazz take a flyer on obiesie I'm good with that. Earlier in the year i was wondering what gobert and bol bol playing together might have looked like.
I like my prospects the same way I like my women... foreign- pickIBL

Griffin is doing an exceptional job of gaining assets. Also clearing out extra caproom. I can see the Pelicans being competing for a playoff spot next year with all their young talent plus a few role players adding through free agency.

Hey pick, of topic, but do you have any thoughts on Nigel Williams Goss?

Re: 2018-2019 Draft Day Thread
Draft day is all about where everyone is going and all the transactions...but watching these kids get introduced to the crowd with their families just makes makes me smile. Sometimes you forget about this stuff. There are 60 guys whose dream will come true and that's awesome. Many have come from very humble beginnings and all have worked extremely hard to get there. Reminds us all that these guys are human beings and not just pieces on a chess board.
