Is Jarrett Culver a better prospect than Zhaire or vice versa?

Culver is superior but I'm reassessing my negativeish Zhaire takes I had this time last year.

Well to spin Zhaire is a positive way (I was a big supporter of his last year pre-draft), despite losing all that weight from the reaction, dealing with injury, etc.....He came back and showed slightly improved ball handling and an improved shot, hitting almost 38% from 3 in a few games to end the year.

The Sixers official podcast had some guy with a loser mentality on today to talk about the draft. He said the Sixers should only be drafting with next playoffs in mind. Which eliminates... everyone? I think a lot of people are falling into this trap, which is why you're seeing a 23 year old touted as the no-brainer pick for the Sixers.

Its theatrics. The draft is literally a show now.

I don't like that they hype up everyone that's in the green room. I also don't like that there's so many players there.

I like it better when Maciej Lampe expected to be in the early first round and dropped like a stone and sat there until the second round. Was more fun with the uncertainty.

It's been a show for as long as it's been on TV.

Yup. I hate that the narrative is "older players=more NBA ready".

At the end of the day, talent is what makes you ready for the NBA....hence why underclassmen generally get drafted before seniors.

I want to be drafted solely to refuse a handshake with Dave Silver.

Better yet, to ask him with microphones around, do you Trust the Process?

I do miss the days when we all found out and reacted to selections at the same time. The spoiler **** is lame as hell.

He can create shots, he just does it in such small doses. I'm worried that he'll be a low impact floater.
