If we're comparing reactions from writers and people on TV, Mike Schmitz is the guy I would trust the most. He's an actual expert. I don't know who NBA TV has at the desk tonight, but it really doesn't matter because none of them would be anywhere near as knowledgeable as Schmitz. Unless Givony was sitting there, which he's not.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

It's like we're running Philly's process in the background. Draft guys and redhsirt most of their rookie seasons - return them to the league with better bodies.

he is 230 lbs. his body was already there.

True. Haha. Good catch.

There is no road for him to be a starter on his rookie deal unless something goes horribly wrong with JI (/AG).

your over rating draft picks

I'm talking what the target of a franchise picking should be, not average outcome.

I think Okeke can play SF. This kid is a winner and he very well might have been BPA.

I mentioned him in possibilities this morning.

Some might have wanted Nassir Little, Bol, Bol, Keldon Johnson, KZ Okpala (My choice after Herro and Langford), Matisse Thybulle or others but I want everyone to take a look at game film before making a judgment.

NAW might be slightly more dynamic than one of those guys, but with his role at the NBA level it's almost negligible. I don't feel like we passed on much. Hell, meme or not, Bol Bol is more interesting to me than a guy like NAW or Johnson. Kevin Porter could be a player, but he's hardly a sure thing either. I get the argument to trade back, but if you think we literally just sat there and unhooked the phone, you don't really know what you're talking about. I'm willing to believe that Weltman can make a bad decision, but I won't entertain the suggestion that they didn't explore options.

much more than 3 and D. put up 4 apg at SG. good with the ball, can create for himself and others.

He is obviously a stud. That said, if we did not picked him he would have gone the second round. Do we have no creativity to pull off a trade to get him later? That’s what really bugs me.

Also it was one guy saying he had him lower on his board because of the ACL injury, the rest of the guys said good things about him. But if you're seeing the pick from a half empty perspective, I guess it makes sense.

Hey, I had him one spot above Cameron Johnson on my board, so it could be worse.

Why is Nassir Little still available at 23rd pick and maybe Kevin Porter and Keldon Johnson also? Maybe we should be glad those guys are still getting passed on. But NAW went 1 pick after us so that one is just as interesting as Little,Keldon and porter still available at 23rd pick.

Enough with the personal jabs, both of you guys. Just take a minute, drink a beer, chill or there will be 3 day suspensions.
