Our new Front Office has a very San Antonio Spurs feel and that makes me all warm inside. (or maybe I pissed my pants)

I've never heard of him, but I've never heard of 95% of the assistants in the NBA unless they were former NBA stars.

I've never in the past paid attention to even the Timberwolves assistant coaches. When we were looking for head coaches I hadn't heard of any of the candidates other than Darvin Ham because I remember him being a great dunker. This year I'm paying attention to the Wolves assistant coaches.

This was from Jon K's report today about the draft:

And the Wolves have an ace in the hole when evaluating the meniscus injury that sidelined Garland after five games last year, along with the health of every other prospect in the draft. At a media event last week, the Wolves introduced Robby Sikka, the team’s new vice president of basketball performance. Sikka has long worked with injury expert Jeff Stotts, the operator of InStreetClothes.com, to analyze and compile information on athlete injuries. The pair have worked with numerous teams in several leagues as well as the National Basketball Players Association over the years, but Rosas brought Sikka, who was also a private practice anesthesiologist and the director of data analytics at the Mayo Clinic, in house to give the Wolves another edge when it comes to player wellness, injury analysis and management and player evaluation.

I think that it is such an underrated move. Load management, players health should be top priority for an NBA organization.

We need to find a few shooting coaches, at least for Culver, KBD, Okogie and Tyus.

Pablo Prigioni signed as an assistant coach. Last year he spent with Nets.
Really like him as a player true PG with a great court vision and good defence.

They haven't yet called me to offer the crack whip assistant role, so things are still ongoing.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
