I think Bruno will get alot of minutes as a rookie, but I still think we will see alot of small ball line up next year...

Eggsactly right. At the same time, Bol's camp knew they were dropping. Probably should've made an executive decision to refuse the invitation.

Spurs missing out on Bitadze by a single pick feels like adding salt to the wound after watching Kawhi win a title this month.

Goga would have been a perfect fit for what they want to do and be moving forward.

Their treatment of the Kawhi situation was a major karma foul. They are reaping the rewards now.

But how about IND adding Goganani to Turner and Sabonis when they had some clear other needs? Yikes.

And how about a certain team, presumably, putting Ball, Zion and that Hayes kid in the same starting lineup? The shooting ... the horror. Rims everywhere are bracing for impact.

tHESE ARE GOOD POINTS.

I expect Lonzo to be traded in the future. NOP was just collecting assets at this point. Clearly not worrying about fit.

Indy...they'll have some decisions to make sooner than later.

You will think differently when you see Samanic play in a couple of years, I can tell you. Also he is a much more "modern" player to today's basketball than Bitadze, although Biyadze is a good player, but he is a center with not a great shooting touch. Samanic is a 6-9/6-10 forward who can do a lot of things.

Exhibit A.

(As ATL Boy noted, there were discernible cheers, moments before, when Jaxson Hayes went off the board to the NOPes, too.) We got some smart fans around these parts.

Noted.

Vehemently disagree. (I'm kinda high on Bitadze.)

So, given the facts that we have selected two centers and a small forward, do you think we are trying to get rid of Dedmon?
Or is this just a selection based on quality and that also allows us to have a power position when negotiating with Dedmon's agent?

I believe we could let Dedmon walk (he's been good here -good, not great).

Trae
Bazemore-Bembry-Mr. Carter
Crabbe-Reddish
Collins-Spellman
Len-Hunter-Fernando

In a year we are getting rid of Crabbe, Bazemore and Plumlee. We will not have the need to transform any rookie contract into a veteran's contract. So I do not know what we are going to do with so much cap space.
There will not be enough players available.

It is kind of different for you fans living in the US. WE here in Europe get more aqurate information. It is the opposite with NCAA players. I can give my opinion, but I do not much about Reddish. I have read that he is soft as tissue, but who knows...

Goga is a great player, but he is the star in a so-so team. He can do many things, but he needs the ball delivered to him in the low post or the medium post.

Samanic is not in that level right now. I even thought he was much younger. But here he is...

Reports have suggested Deadman is likely signing elsewhere, not that we are "getting rid" of him.

Makes our pick of Bruno make a bit more sense, I guess.

We didn't keep the Vol but this moment was top-notch. (Excuse the momentary, yet completely rational, cussing.)

Samanic>Goganani

I agree with this very much. Samanic will be the better pro imo. Pop is gonna love this Luka. Super fundamentally sound.

I disagree about the Pels. It doesn't matter how you shoot when you are running a layup/dunking line all game. Pels are gonna get out and run, Lonzo is going to be lead the league in passes over 50 feet.

C'mon man. When it matters, NBA defenses are able to choke off any offense that's predicated on having to constantly get to the rim. Not even Lebron can consistently succeed off that. I'm not giving Lonzo/Jrue/etc. the benefit of the doubt that they can do it.
