Very good addition to the roster ! Good defender, good rebounder, but needs to work on his shoot !

Yeah he looks like a great two-way prospect for the Blazers.. I don't know if he will fix his shot enough to be a player in the league, but I like his upside.

Fun fact: The Blazers now have 3 of the top 19 players from the 2018 high school recruiting class. Little (3), Simons (7) and Hoard (19).

lots of potential ! I followed him in France, he just needs the good context to be the player that he has to be ! Portland is PERFECT for him !
In France we feel sorry for him cuz he didnt get drafted and since he's the face of the youth talent in France last years with Doumbouya, Ayayi and Ntilikina, but i do believe that it's a bad for a good for him, he's gonna work so much more, with so much more motivation and passion !! Great choice by the Blazers

Trey Lewis and Mike Daum over Louis King. King must have tanked his workout.

I really like Hoard, he doesn't know how to play yet but has great tools and is a worker, he is the right type of tweener if you can get his shot right, the WF situation was terrible, I think he can develop into a Wilson Chandler type of player

Blazers will have a spot for a 2-way player if he can play.

The situation is we have 5 free agents and a MLE and 4 roster spots. That's 6 chances to fill 4 openings. Unless we lose out on at least 3 of those chances, there is no chance for Hoard. If he survives this problem, he has to be better than what's available with the veterans minimum.

Well, NBA showed us lately that there is far way more than one way to become a successfull NBA player ! I absolutely believe that wit the type of player Jaylen is, a harder path will make him stronger, instead of the "comfortabilty" of an NBA contract ! He's a one and done, and isnt finished to progress !
I really believe it's the best thing for his career

I see a lot of Thaddeus Young/Aminu in Hoard it appears that NO definitely has a “type”. There could end up being a lot of parallels between Hoard/Little and Aminu/Harkless. Not complaining, if he reaches that level of mediocre starter as an Undrafted FA than that’s a incredible value.
From Portland to Reno to Vegas to LA to SLC and on to HotLanta. Winning at life. Too Blessed to be Stressed

Next year is still a learning period for him. In 2 yrs we'll see the result and if the kid is ready to be what he wants to become or not !
He'll have 45 days to show the coaching staff that he's a reel NBA pplayer !

This makes me wish the Blazers had a local g league team. Like in Vancouver. Memphis has a deal like that where their g league team is right across the river. I would go to the Couve to see the kids play.
