I can guarantee u if the Knicks would've made 6th seed they would've been labeled stupid for not tanking, eventhough the young guys showed promise. The narrative would've not been the Knicks are young up and comers, no... it would've been same stupid franchise and front office doesn't know how to grow the team. The other thing I do not like at all about KD is he very publicly publicly made it clear he wants to GET PAID. I hate guys who do that. It's so lame. Hey fella, you're one of the biggest stars in the NBA, so it goes without saying you'll get paid so I'm don't need to hear about you feeling entitled to the most of the most after taking a little discount to play in GS. I cannot stand this as well. What was the difference between the money if he resigned with OKC instead of taking the paycut to ring chase? It can't be that much. I know the contract was less. But he got rings, more exposure, and viewed as the best player in the world.

The Knicks have been losing the marketing battle against the Nets for a while now. The fact that they're hosting the draft at the Barclay's Center "the home of the Brooklyn Nets" (which they made sure ESPN didn't forget to mention) is significant. It's a sign that the center of gravity is slowly shifting to Brooklyn. The Nets are gaining ground.

And again, we as Knicks fans shouldn't overreact to this because the Kyrie/KD plan never really made sense for us and there's a chance that it turns into a debacle wherever they go. But some of y'all need to stop acting like the Nets are a joke or that it doesn't make sense for them to sign there.

Again, it's a marketing war. And the Nets are winning in a blowout. What we need to focus on is the rebuild. 4 years from now, RJ might be better than KD post-achilles and Kyrie combined and we have a treasure trove of assets which could either accelerate the rebuild or bring another potential franchise guy through the draft.

Patience, patience, patience.

Would Kyrie Irving sell out the Barclays center with just him on the squad next year and KD on the bench? I doubt it.

This all day. The Nets are getting media slob because they made the playoffs and are further along than the Knicks are. The media hates Dolan. The only way the gain ground is winning a title before the Knicks win another.

The whole thing is... what are we even fighting for at this point? A tangible player with tangible resultes or just hope/something to feel good about? Cuz the stock on a Kyrie + KD duo now is plummeting portfolio. It's one thing if it were Kawhi + healthy KD or Kawhi + AD... but it's not. KD and Kyrie may be the same as Paul George and Westbrook in the playoffs two years from now... good enough for a lot of unfounded buzz, a bottom seed and a quick exit.

I'm high on RJ and I think he's the best bet at this point. There's just too many oddities surrounding the other guys. I think that KD taking a year off isgoimg to take a big toll on Kyrie.

I didn't say **** about NY becoming a Nets town. But you know some Knicks fans desperate for wins and big names will switch to the Nets the second Kyrie and KD sign there. They never had that option, now they do. Some will. I personally couldn't care less, but their brand is growing is all.

The Knicks make the playoffs once with a young club and it erases all the Nets’ gains.

I still dont see this Nets are set up to be the better franchise. Ok so u made the playoffs as sixth seed in a trash east w tankers all over the spot, dlo was a replacement allstar aka substitute teacher. Caris levert is a nice piece, but is he a franchise changer?.. Allen is a nice young player, but noway he has a better upside than mitch... look at what mitch did in limited minutes. Spencer Damedummy? Hes decent, but once again, u can find those type around the league. I dont see this narrative of this great thing the nets are building, I just dont. Especially If dlo leaves, now u just got rid of ur "young allstar nucleus". I dont get it.
