The expectation for frank right now are really low if he does well cool if he doesn't do well whatever and move on. I am not a frank fan but if he does well and is with the knicks this season i will eat crow and give frank his credit.

I don’t see why the majority of the people want to give up on the 20 year old kid. The word project was the biggest thing we heard with him. At worst he is 6-7 3-d player. If he develops he can be a high level role player with good court vision and defense.

he looks a little taller. and more important, that man body is starting to fill in. that should help.
give the kid a kick in the cojones to give him a mean streak and he should be fine.

i have no way to quantify majority. but the number i've seen alarms me.
we are way too impatient with development timelines. he could just as easily be coming over for the first time this season. there are draftees older than him STILL.
as we seem to be getting from the pictures, his physical maturation isn't even complete. hopefully he shows some venom this year.

Nothing wrong with it.
Frank's upside will only be unlocked by hitting outside shots. He never had enough burst or handle. He'll have to be a good outside shooter (mainly the 3) to have a role. Then, when players overplay the 3, maybe he can get around them and get into the paint. Outside shot helping to set up whatever dribble drive he has.
Frank also does well when get gets a pick in a P&R setting. Sometimes the shot that will be there is a longer two, but also those bunny jumper in and near the lane, where 6'7", inspector gadget arms frank should be able to get that shot off against most every PG in the league. Another shot he should be proficient at.
So, practicing long two and mid range twos is ok for him.
I'm not inferring this will make him a starter or awesome, but his path to success on offense should be around stuff like that.

if you're gonna take a long 2, then you should learn to do a step back 3

Lol why is he in the Mavs practice facility. That's terrifying.

Sure, eventually. I think Frank is more inclined to get free around a pick - he only grew up playing that way. Let him add a step back 3 next year, when he's playing with KP and Donic.
