Well now that the obvious has been reported, the national media has shifted to "will anyone even want to come because of the front office dysfunction?" Aside from completely missing how well Pelinka planned for and executed the AD trade while keeping max cap space, they also fail to mention that the entire dysfunction ended when a certain someone abruptly exited stage left. Guess they are contractually obligated not to notice.

Lakers are getting Kawhi. I can feel it now.

Raptors fan. Love the Lakers too, Kobe fan forever.
The thing with Kawhi, after watching him for a season, is that he has a ton of pride. Wants to be the man. The focal point. Hes a quiet alpha and anyone who can watch body language and understand can sense that with him. The entire Raps team took on his personality.
He may be boys with LeBron, but hes not going to expect playing second fiddle to him. And especially not third to AD, who has never won a title.

That is a HUGE block for you guys to overcome. He can win titles. He just did. And he can do it again by being #1.

shouldn't assume that KL will automatically become Bosch/Love in this potential trinity, Lebron is old and perhaps he does understand that he needs to be Bosch/Love.

LeBron has never proven to take a step back. As competitive and ego-driven as he is, you really see LeBron playing the Bosh role??

When has he had an opportunity to step back? Cavs needed all of him. I think AD is likely to end up third option.

It's not in his DNA. That's like asking Kobe to or Mike to take a step back. Not going to happen.

A bit off base comparing Lebron competitive DNA to Kobe and Mike. Not like Lebron hasn't chosen the super team route before. He understands whats needed to make 3 stars work.

It’s Kawhi or depth for me. Nobody else is in his league.

I agree with this. Lakers need 3 and D, which Kawhi brings both unlike the other big name free agents. If we miss on him let's focus on good quality role players Instead.

Let's pass on Kyrie, Jimmy, Kemba. And especially Klay or Durant given their injuries.

Lets face it, if the Warriors were at 100% the Raps would've lost big time. Kawhi needs to realize that. He's basically going to face us or the Warriors again and most likely lose.

I wouldn’t bank on that. I would hope he would lose to us round 1, but it’s hard to predict how a guy shows up his first finals in AD. That and he beat Lebron by the biggest margin ever and held him to under 4 points on average in the fourth quarter of that series when he got mvp.

Lebron has in his head AD playing center. Bosh sacrificed his game by playing center, to fit Lebron but bosh was better at PF. Love refused to sacrifice and play center, he couldnt play center and thats why Cleveland didnt work out like in Miami.
AD best position is center.

You can argue he’s beat off being Pau. Playing most his time at C and then 10 mins or so at PF so he doesn’t do 30 plus minutes at C

I think McGee will be the starting C, so AD can play PF and will be able to roam the 3pt line and stretch the floor.
