With the addition of Coby White on the Bulls, I'm still a Kris Dunn stan and would love to inquire about his availability. I'd love for him to be a role player defensive guard off the bench. Between him and Hezonja, old flings die hard.

SAC: Steven Adams
OKC: Bogdan Bogdanovic and James Johnson
Miami: Jimmy Butler
Philly: Josh Richardson and Kelly Olynyk

Philadelphia doesn't have to get under the cap to make the salaries work, meaning no renouncing Redick or Mike Scott. OKC gets a shooter in Bogdan and PF enforcer off the bench in Johnson. The Kings get a center to replace WCS. Heat get Butler and clear out salary for the summer of 2020.

I actually like James Johnson as a backup four and Kelly Olynyk as a backup five.
Jimmy Butler <=> Richardson, Johnson, and Olynyk.

Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid
Tomas Satoransky, Zhaire Smith, Mike Scott, James Johnson, Kelly Olynyk
Vasilije Micic, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle, Marial Shayock, Jonah Bolden

Same. I'll add Stanley Johnson. I know these are not the vets Elton wants. But I would love to go cheap with upside. Cam Johnson is older than Stanley Johnson. So is Marial Shayock, I think. I'm very curious where the '15 busts will land and for how much. Lyles, Kaminsky, Mudiay...

We would need to renounce Redick to make that S&T work.

If the Sixers were to S&T Butler; he only counts as $20,445,779 going out to them, but $32,700,000 coming in for the receiving team.

Not sure if this works salary wise as I didn’t check it, but it should at least be close:

BOS gets Capela and Parsons
HOU gets S&T Butler
MEM gets Hayward, 2020 HOU 1st, and 2020 OKC 1st
PHI gets Brown and Gordon

EDIT: Adding Yabusele to the Sixers makes it work salary wise all around.

I've thought about something very similar but keep getting stuck on the same point: I don't know if Jaylen Brown is actually a good basketball player and you're about to have to pay him like he is.

Sixers get: Gordon, Bogdanovic, and Giles

Rockets get: Jimmy

Kings get: Capela

Use full MLE on Marcus Morris
Keep Mike Scott with non-bird exception

Ben
Bogdanovic
Harris
Morris
Jo

Gordon
Zhaire
Giles
Scott
Thubulle
Vet minimum PG/maybe trade Bolden and a 2nd for young cheap PG

Houston gets Jimmy Butler. They give up 30m (gordon, capela and get 32m back)

Sixers get Eric Gordon, Jeremi Grant, draft picks. We give out 20m, take back 23-24m. Gordon is a better scorer and shooter than Jimmy. Jeremi is a better defender. Too bad can't get it all in one. But hey. Allows to use the MLE on an anchor for the second unit.

OKC gets Clint Capela. Losing Grant and Adams shaves 18m off its payroll, and an additional 54m in luxury taxes. But with Capela aboard, they still have a chance to be a top10 team--preserving our rights to their draft pick, OKC20(x20).

Sacramento gets Steven Adams. Kings have dudes who can chuck. They need someone to defend and go get it. Not a free agent destination, they should appreciate a guy whose on lock for a couple years.

I’d rather have Jimmy, but if he is leaving, this is one of the ones I’ve liked best that I’ve seen.

I think the picks would have to go to OKC. But I like this idea.

Richardson is the perfect 3rd or 4th banana to complement a trio of Embiid/Simmons/Harris.

Olynyk is a perfect backup center for Embiid who can stretch the floor for Simmons, and can also play some stretch 4 with Embiid.

Both are great defenders and have great BPM - if EB can get both for Butler while keeping Harris and Reddick that would be amazing.

Based on what I heard on the BS podcast, Russillo says they already know what they have. I’m wondering if that means McCollum is being shopped more.

Damn.

As good as Shamet was for us, drafting him over Simons and Trier was ridiculous.

Feels like Malik Monk could be had relatively cheaply. Hornets haven't seemed super enamored with him. It's very likely he was ou r pick had Colangelo not fielded Ainge's call.

Based on what? Unless they were going to trade back I can't imagine Monk was in legit contention to go 3rd overall.

His workout with the team was the biggest deal of the predraft process.
