26 hours before Celtics are allowed to talk with Kemba, he already informed Hornets he's going to Boston. Who is leaking this out? For real, if Charlotte complains to the NBA, no way Celtics can explain this.

Look, I'm not naive. I know the whole league is doing it. But everyone pretends it's not happening. I haven't read another report about a player informing his team that he's leaving a day before FA begins. For the NBA, optics is all that matters. Everyone tanks, but if you do it blatantly like Hinkie, you get fired.

I know, but IMO this is done by someone trying to hurt the Celtics. Both Boston and Kemba have zero incentive to not keep this for themselves until June 30th, 6pm. All the other reported deals are about players resigning with their current teams: Klay, Porzingis, Vucevic...

Maybe I'm overreacting, but if Jordan is hurt, he can easily make a big fuss about it. Eventhough, every team does this, it's unprecedented to have mainstream reports on June 25th about a guy signing with another team.

Celtics struggled to get free agents because they never had cap space. The last 4 years they have had cap space 3 times.

Well, after getting the big 3 there was no money to pay anyone so it's not known if we could have had others before Al and Hay. I don't know how it was b4 them because I wasn't a fan during that period.

Walker is an all star, so you do the move, also costing us nothing as such as we are using our Cap space. Also he WANTS to be here so less chance of an Irving situation.

It will also make us more attractive for other players as well. We just need a decent big and we are ready to compete.
