He still wouldn't have stayed for that?

So MJ was offering much less?

He was reportedly offered $20mil more than the Celtics could pay.............and it didn't matter.
Less per year, though.

$35M annually from Boston vs. the rumored $32M from us.

The per year only matters if the duration was the same.

One contract offer was for $140 mil. The other contract offer was for $160 mil.

You can't reference the per year and then ignore the length.

I don't think I'm ignoring it? Just adding context. If Kemba were a little older I might agree with you, but I'll be very surprised if the first year of his contract 4 years from now doesn't eclipse that $20M difference.

Why would the Nets get the "at least a 1st round draft pick"?

We would, by FAR, be getting the worst player in the deal???

If anyone should be getting a 1st its us, we get the worst player and get nothing but Terry Rozier, the Nets get the best player and get a 1st? Yeah right.

We better get 2 1sts if anything, one from Boston and one from Nets.

I still don't understand how it can be a S&T unless it's equal per year salary that is being exchanged.

The reason the Nets would need a pick (or something) is there's no incentive for them to do it otherwise. They can sign Kyrie outright.

Boston needs it to keep Horford's rights.
Charlotte needs it because there's no space to sign Rozier.
Nets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If this happens we'd have to get something from the Nets so that we "touch"? Maybe a 2nd or a player but likely $1.1M.

Thanks BoB.

Then I hope Brooklyn dig their heels in and fleece Boston forcing them to give up massive capital to facilitate this.

Really Boston need the S&T (because of Horford) wayyyyyyyyy more than anyone else.

Brooklyn better not roll out the red carpet like Washington did for LA.

Mitch did Sean Marks a favor last summer taking on Mozgov, the 1st better be coming our way or no deal.

Even if MJ himself held a press conference none of the craven reporters that cover the team would be brave enough to ask him tough questions that bring attention to his horrible decision making.

Why doesn't Boston just send us Hayward is exchange for Kemba in a S&T? Do they really think he's about to turn it around or are we just showing no interest in picking up some draft capital for taking him on?
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Why would the Hornets want Hayward? He would block the development of miles and bacon and does not fit the ime frame for the rebuild.
