I think we could have gotten a significantly better player for that money but I get that he’s a culture fit and steadying presence.

Hill was the second most important Buck vs Celtics...

Still need a starting 2 so Hill can stay as combo guard off the bench.

Just re-sign Brogdon at 20 per long-term if you're just going to turn around and give Hill 10 long-term when he's about to decline and is the worse player now. Gotta think the psychology of paying luxury tax for no direct return while also not wanting to break up too much of the band is playing into the equation when it comes to their decisions.

I mean even if you don't think Hill is worth it, this contract make it so he's a clear positive asset in year two.

We probably still win the Celtics series, but it goes 6 or 7 games without Hill. I like this signing.

Key player when fit but I think we're going to over rely on an old dude who has struggled to stay healthy. At least this takes pressure off Bled and DDV?

When we dealt for Hill, I plainly stated, "I don't think you guys realize how much better George Hill is going to make us." I was on team Hill, I love George Hill, but he's 33 years old and no team in the entire league was going to pay him 10m a season. It's a problem when you've got a team and there is not a single contract on it you can feel really good about sans Giannis. You NEED that.

Glad he's coming back. Hill was very crucial for us during the playoffs.

He's essentially on a two year contract. you can easily trade him in the 2nd year. This isn't Tony Snell

Glad he’s back but feels like an overpay.

Reminder that Lou Williams is somehow only making 8mill a year.

So is our starting back court next year Bledsoe and whoever wins the battle between Sterling and Donte?

Theres no money left now after the Hill signing right?

If there is not another significant move now, can someone explain to me how coming back with the same team minus brogdon makes us better? I'm curious.

Lou Williams is one of the worst defenders in basketball and unless he's red hot is basically unplayable.

I'd rather of matched Brogdon and used the smaller exception to find a backup guard. I like Hill but he's 33 and has a long history of injury issues. So Brogdons foot concern seem less of a driver in not keeping him

So Gery had all of this right before anything broke.

There's a 10-12 million TPE and teams scrambling to create cap.
