I just hope Jordan is cool with not being a starter. Allen is younger and better right now. Our backups still get plenty of time. He'd probably get more time than Ed did because he has more size. Dont think he's been great the last 2 years but as a 20-25 minute guy, you can't really ask for more.

He’s a part of your pitch, but he’s like $30 million overpaid. Certified scrubulous now. Allen deserves most, if not all, of the Center minutes

Am I the only one who thinks DJ is an upgrade from Ed? I mean regular season is one thing but come playoffs.

Per 36 and Advanced:
Jordan - 13ppg, 16rpg, 2.7apg, 1.3 blocks
- 19 PER, 0.674 TS%, 0.167 WS/48

Davis - 12ppg, 17rpg, 1.5apg, 0.8 blocks
- 17 PER, 0.632 TS%, 0.191 WS/48

DeAndre was poor in Dallas so his stats over the last 19 Knicks games were significantly better. If we get that DeAndre than it is a significant upgrade, Dallas DeAndre probably about the same.

I'm no dumb ass when it come to #'s, I do check bball-reference. I've been wondering if DJ is an upgrade come meaningful games. Also I hate when #'s being put out of context and that's why I'm asking. Do some people seen enough DJ past few years.
DJ did say he wanted to Mitch get more min for him to improve. A lot of maturity there and he also provide playoffs experience. I'm not sure what to expect from him come late season, I don't know if he's an upgrade from ED. Ed did great in a game he went vs 6's.

at his mileage im sure he'd be fine with 20-25ish minutes. he will play a ton. Allen isnt a 36 mpg player quite yet and gets in foul trouble and we will rely on jordan vs bigger guys for longer stretches. Jordan seems like a good dude too and a good culture fit.

We needed a big body to simply take up space vs bigger players. Allen may as well not be on the court vs. any center over 225 pounds. no one expects much from jordan, but on both ends he is an elite fit. literally the mold for what markinson wants at center and at worst he fills the role of rebounding off the bench.

salary is irrelevant. we are capped but well under the tax

I hope he comes motivated and ready to kick ass.

He's only 30 still so he still has something left to give.

I think he can help Allen and maybe help out with the rebounding issues. Interesting we got him from the Knicks.

Jordan was still pulling down a solid number of rebounds last season. I don't know why anyone thinks that he won't be an asset here we need size.

He average 11 & 12 with 3 ASSISTS .. I had no idea he was that good of a passer, that surprised me. And 1 block on 28 minutes between Dallas and Knicks. He also shot 77% from the free throw line after shooting in the 40s for most of his career.

This dude is well worth 10M a year, I don't know how ppl can say he's overpaid. I'm sure we can get at the very least 2 good years out of him. Another thing, he rarely misses games, has not played less than 66 games in any season. This is a great acquisition . I won't be surprised if KA has him draining 3s next year.

To be honest, pretty much all NBA writers only mentioned him as a side note and that he is not that good anymore, so my expactations are much tampered. But considering that KD and Kyrie structured their contracts specifically in a way to get him on the team, it's basically a free addition and I'll gladly take that. He certainly is a big body which is something the team absolutely lacked last season and would not have gotten away with long term.
