It means it's likelier to happen now. They saved $$ towards the hard cap. And got pieces they could trade to a third team.

Good move by Portland... No one has mentioned giving Yabs a go... What do they have to lose? You might as well see if he can be a legitimate NBA player? Heard Dickinson on WEEI mention that the Cs are a worse team now than a week ago...

I still surmise we have a few options. Could combine them as well.

1. Find a 3rd team for sign and trade to get us a full MLE and ability to resign Mook (which I'm Luke warm on)

2. Use Yas and asset to bring back a big with salary of >5.1mil (Sabonis, len, etc)

3. Do nothing and sign room Exception and 2 mil of so we have in salary cap.

Combining 2 and 3 or 1 and 2 maybe our best bet.

Portland just traded for Whiteside. But they did let go of Leonard and probably will lose Kanter. Which means the they may not be inclined to deal away Collins but he would be someone I'm interested in

Yeah, I think there's a way to expand the Kemba deal to include Cody Z. Just can't be bothered to do the math. And a third team might need to be involved to take on an S&T'd Morris lol.

Cody Zeller. Then sign Tyler Zeller for the minimum. So we have someone to counter the Lopez Bros of the Bucks.

By talent/exp standards much worse. Granted they didnt play even close to potential last year so it wont look much worse on court next year but the ceiling has been lowered a good bit. Went from maybe deepest team in league to one of more unknown/weakest benches in league.

They are worse then a week ago. Walker isn't a good as Irving. That isn't the main issues though. The main problem is they lost Horford and Baynes and they isn't anyone there as of right now to replace them.

I'm a no for Mook at any price, tbh. It would've been nice to have him back if Kemba hadn't come to town.

But now we already have enough guys who are going to need minutes and shots to keep any drama at bay. Need to add role players who know that they're role players and embrace being role players.
