The Nets will be a borderline 8th seed this year without Durant. Kyrie will make the up and coming nets players worse, just like he did with the Cavs and Celtics. He will promise that next year will be different once Durant and him can play together. Durant will come back and they will have some success in the playoffs. Durant will get credit for the Nets success and Kyrie will be clear second fiddle. Kyrie’s ego will make him unhappy, playing second fiddle to Durant just like he was with Lebron. He will then internally implode the Nets like he has done with all his other teams. I predict this happening by year 3 out their 4 year commitment. Year 3/4 will be absolute hell for the Nets. Karma will ensue.

Two years ago with Kyrie before he got injured, I believe we were #1 seed and then lost the top seed to Raptors. Interesting to see two malcontents type - Kyrie and Durant - on the same team - Nets. I think Kenny Atkinson will realize in time that Kyrie messes team chemistry and team ball. Could take Durant two years before he is the player he was before the injury - top 3 player. So now Nets have 1 top 5 player - Durant - and one top 15-20 player in Kyrie. Making 2nd team All NBA does not necessarily mean he is a top 10 player. Seems Kyrie realizes that he can't win with him being a #1 on a team so smartly he teams up with Durant. Thank you Kyrie for all your contributions to the Celtics. Wish you would have been a true professional for us this last year where your main goal was to win a championship and help the young guys rather than being a distraction and focusing on your next team or free agency so much.

I hope Kyrie is miserable for the rest of his career. He was a pain in the ass from beginning to end. From the pass to Hayward that broke his ankle to the worst leadership I’ve ever seen from an athlete to finally costing us AD by refusing to commitment here after saying he planned on coming back.

Outside of career ending injuries, I wish the absolute worst for him.
Handsome.

Many NBA experts are mocking the Celtics because they think Kyrie is the better player than Kemba. To me this reminds me of Paul Pierce versus Vince Carter or Tracy McGrady. Early in their careers despite similar production everybody rated Carter and McGrady as being much more superior players than PP. And yet leadership, competitive spirit, and toughness and yes ....durability and health .....ultimately did matter and PP went on to become a better player over his career.

Objectively Kyrie is a better player than Isaiah Thomas was in his one great MVP like season, and yet he accomplished much less with much more talent around him. There were those of us who doubted that Kyrie was enough of an upgrade to justify giving up a lottery pick. IT’s injury has made that point moot. Our great start last season also made that suggestion seem foolish but much of that success attributed to Kyrie might have been due to Tatum’s amazing 3 pt shooting during that time.

Kemba may be a downgrade intalent from Kyrie in the same way that Pierce would be a downgrade from Carter. I hope his leadership, personality, and energy will be a better fit for Brad’s system and leads to better team success in the same way that Paul Pierce did for Boston in 2008 and especially 2009 through 2012 when Ray and KG were in decline.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Kemba will win a title and Kyrie won't ever sniff another one.

Location doesn’t help with happiness. He was unhappy in Cleveland towards the end and unhappy in Boston. Unhappy people will find everywhere to be unhappy.
It's not that simple. Could be likely with Kyrie, but it's inherently not true.

Sometimes, the right kind of support can help someone who is unhappy, no matter how ego centric they are, or how responsible they are for their own unhappiness. Playing at home, with your best friend, may be the kind of support that he needs. That doesn't mean he won't continue to project onto others, but it's not as clear cut as "once miserable, always miserable"

Everything about this dude is awful and don’t wish any good success for him like I would for almost anyone who leaves Boston. Celtics played better without him. We could have had Anthony Davis but nope Kyrie also screwed something Ainge was working towards for years. **** him, he was a poor man IT in his short years in Boston.
Zero appreciation for Rozier. Rozier is Rozier, IT was a con man

As I've said before, Kyrie acts and talks like someone who

1. Smokes too much
2. Is teetering on the ledge of substance induced psychosis, or just a psychotic detachment from reality.

I've made a post about this before, but Kyrie's mental health is a topic of discussion. We've talked about Demar DeRozan, and Kevin Love's experience with anxiety and depression. Kyrie seems to be psychotic at times. And he doesn't believe it, wouldn't believe, and thinks he's more intelligent than he is.

I like 90% of the others on this thread wish nothing but the worst for Kyrie. I know you're not supposed to wish injury on other players but nothing would be sweeter than seeing Kyrie go down with an ACL in early April sabotaging another year of this manufactured union. And somebody had mentioned earlier that Kyrie's tribute video should be that nauseating Nike commercial with his father when he falsely insinuated that one day he would like to see his number in the rafters. I think that's a great idea! And you could open it with his obsequious little statement: "I'd like to come back if you're willing to have me".

I like how the Kyrie thread was just renamed the apprciation thread. If Kyrie looks here, he'll think he had 45+ pages of appreciation, but in reality, only the past few pages are saying goodbye and it's all negative!

Obviously he won't get a tribute video but I actually think it's a nonzero possibility Kyrie never plays in Boston again, despite being in the division lol. He avoided Cleveland like the plague after leaving, I'd imagine he'll avoid Boston even more

This thread should come down or change the title . The more we learn about Kyrie and his plan to leave despite saying he was going to stay , the worse it gets . I think the best course of action is simply to forget he was here and move on. It was a dismal chapter in Celtic history and I can only hope it gets better from here. The last 4 games against Milwaukee tell you everything you’d ever want to know about Kyrie . He didn’t care and he wanted out.

Lol. I appreciate the thread title change

I was on board with Kyrie at the beginning and even most of the way through this season...but with his on off effort toward the end and in the playoffs I have very little appreciation.

He is a hell of a talent and I enjoyed watching him at times but don’t miss him a bit.

Will be interesting to see if he is all in now that he has the opportunity to chose his situation.

Where does Kyrie rank amongst the most hated former Celtics? Honestly can’t think of any that would beat him...how about most hated former Boston athlete?

In Kyries 1st season, we were 8-10 in his last 18 games before the injury. Kyrie was clearly unhappy with his minutes, touches, shots and ppg (which were much less) in the 16-2 run that came before and decided to take matters into his own hands to ensure an all star starting slot. He was never professional and never prioritised the team.
