What big man could we trade Brown for? Preferably a good defender. We have flexibility with adding salary filler & draft picks too. I think something like that would still do wonders for balancing the roster.

Hayward / Langford
Tatum / Ojeleye
TRADE / G Williams
Kanter / R Williams

Don't get the desire to trade Brown - he welcomed Tatum w/ open arms, led team in playoff scoring his 2nd year, performed well even though he was coming off the bench, and was the 1 player that stood up to Kyrie...

Plus he has the most upside on the team not including rookies. I don't really know their games.

Kawhi would be a lot better off if he chooses to go with the Clippers. A much better balanced team with plenty of good players. He would be the cherry on the sundae.

Why does he care? He know he's leaving. He knows Danny is counting on him staying for the AD pitch. He can half-ass the rest of the season for another team as well as he did for the Celtics.

And to put it terms of your question: If I knew my employer was counting on me for a big project this summer but I knew I was leaving, you can be DAMN SURE I would let them know one way or another.

ETA: In fact, I did that when I left my last job.

Yeah, not really similar to the real world to me. Some companies may be able to just fire you or affect you in an adverse way. In some circumstances like the one you gave you certainly could want to let them know.

What does Kyrie have to lose really? Maybe he is traded if Danny knew before the deadline, but what does it really matter for him?

Well, moving sucks. If he got traded somewhere where it was a really bad fit it could potentially hurt future earnings. Things can be 2 at once. It really sucks that Kyrie burned us like he did and it was fair play for him to do so.

Noah was Draymond Green, before Green was Green if you know what I mean. He wasn't on a team that was as good and is very fragile. Still wouldn't mind him for the vet min. He's a 18-20 mins a game guy at best. A winner, no idea if he's that interested in b-ball anymore, tho.

Offensively yes, defensively no.

He's a better rebounder and as you pointed out, better on offense, but yea on defense Baynes ranks pretty high. Kanter is a double double machine if he plays 24-25 mins a game, tho and a guy who will go at the other team's big on any given opportunity. Something we haven't had in a while. He's aggro af.
