To Hades and back to anyone still hating on what our front office is up to. They're killing it. Looney, WCS and Jones are not bad at all at the center spot. Now, to find a couple wings out there...

Great pickup. Like most, thought he'd go somewhere for more money.

Now, that the center position is filled, sign Luc Mbah A Moute (season ending surgery before the post-season, though) for defensive versatility purposes after losing Iggy. Think he'll come in cheap.

We only need to get a veteran SF and we're set.
I would have preferred to keep Napier though, I'm pissed he was traded.

Cousins may just come back at the minimum out of spite if the reports on his market are accurate.

Outside of that, I'd kick the tires on Zaza tbh. We need a big, strong oaf. His athleticism was already a zero so he can't have gotten that much worse.

I'd say this makes enough centers. Draymond still plays there once in a while. Let's look for a bargain wing.

We're against the wall on roster spots, we got Looney, Jones and now WCS we can't just add another guy who will only play C already down one roster spot in Klay for most if not all year.

Would have to dump Jones but they couldn't even dump Shaun's partial guarantee so I don't think they get it done.

You're going to say that after what's transpired so far this offseason? I wouldn't be surprised to see Jones/2nd traded.

Agree with the sentiment and overall. But Jones is bad.

Unpopular opinion: If Dray doesn't suck, we're now almost as talented on paper as we were in 2015.

WCS is the best pickup we could've gotten for the min - he's a genuinely good player and an unbelievable screen setter (when he applies himself, anyway). Can't wait to see him and Steph.

I wonder what the salary will be for WCS? More than his vet minimum (~ $1.74M), but how much more?

I can't wait to see him and DRAYMOND. Think of WCS as our new Javale. Rim running, shot blocking athletic freak. The best thing that ever happened on a basketball court for McGee was Draymond Green. Not ony set him up for an enormous amount of lobs, but taught him how to use his brain on the court and got him to concentrate.

This could be a huge signing for us if Willie comes to the team humbled.

WCS seems to have become a better passer off the post. Assist rate improved through 4 seasons 7.8->11.5->14.8->17.2 with a TO rate of 7.4 only. I haven't watched much of him but from the highlights he passes from the post quite a bit.

He has also been healthy which is an important factor for us.

In the perfect world he could be a 25 yo McGee with better passing ability?
