Like I said on the General Board:

Danny Ainge is Robb Stark. Won every battle, but lost the war.

Getting assets is different from materializing it into talent building a championship team.

Great GMs have both.

It has been reported Capela was basically traded if Houston could get Butler. These guys are vets so they might handle it better than the Lakers young ones last season after all the trade deadline speculation, but I can't imagine the clubhouse being all rosy.

Morey’s gonna keep running it while being patient then strike at the right moment.

Assets? You dont need assets in today’s NBA to get a star. You just need great tampering skills. He almost got Jimmy for some lose change. Lakers got Anthony Davis for scrubs. Maybe he can get a guy like John Wall or Beal for Tucker and some low end picks in the near future

In the end teams like Rox, LA, miami and NY teams (Nets) can get any players without having assets to trade for. Because here’s the thing. Lifestyle is bigger than championships nowadays.

I always tell GB guys that players dont value championship nowadays. They always point out KD going to warriors.

Guess what Nash said.

Championship didnt make KD happy. What makes people happy is lifestyle and being famous in social media. You think its because of those 1 day parade and maybe a mil or two bonus?

In a fair world, horford’s contract should be something like $50M guaranteed and $50M in bonus for a total of $100M. When Horford is guaranteed $90+M, do you think he cares about getting like $4M extra for every championship he wins?

With his stint with us, mostly yes (he brought JJ and Ben though)

Can’t say the same thing when he turned around the Suns and Raps.

Are the Lakers the best team in the league, without Kawhi?

Waiting few more days and not considering a 2 year deal favors the Lakers.

Jalen Rose said he's "99% sure" that Kawhi stays In Toronto and you know what? That would be perfect. I don't want any excuses when we take those motherf#ckers out in the playoffs next season, none at all. I want to face that same exact roster so badly.

And f***king up James' attempts at another superteam would make it doubly sweet.

We signing Tobias’ brother, bucks signing Giannis’ brother, warriors signing steph brother in law, AD taking paycut on space jam 2 with leBron and kawhi-drake ovo offer. Man.. the league better step up under the table payments

Thats the only way they can retain Giannis. Giannis aint winning there and the “lifestyle” aspect in Milwaukee aint enticing

If Kawhi stays in Toronto, we're the favorites for the championship. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean we have a better than 50% chance of winning. It's not like Golden State of the past few years. Just that we're the best team out of several who have a good chance of winning the championship. LAL with Kawhi would be ahead of us, but we'd still have a shot.

I think he meant he's 99% sure that his opinion is that Kawhi will stay.

I’d say it’s 50-50. If it’s 99%, decision should be done by now.

Ive said it on GB. Kawhi knows its wrong to leave the Raps from a legacy standpoint but he can get both winning and lifestyle in LA.

I read somewhere that Kawhi asked masai two questions. Is he staying and how can he make the team better. Im really really curious to hear what he has to say on that second question.
