I frequent the Hazelton and One Restaurant...

They technically don't have a "Presidential Suite", they have 4 other suites. I think the Belair is the biggest.

I reached out to a friend that works there, and unfortunately, she takes her job seriously and couldn't tell me if there was indeed a Raptors event going on. They do have a level of confidentiality there.

That’s the problem if chooses LA, the question becomes what more could have been done ? I don’t think much.

Nothing. The only thing he might question is the roster beyond this year but we have Masai so that should put an end to that worry. If he leaves, he simply wants to be home, I guess.

I always thought he gone, but hope its clips and not lakes. I really dont see Kawhi as a 3rd fiddle kind of guy next to Lebron and AD.

That LA bench will be the worst in the league.

There are virtually no players of value left on the market.

I think Kawhi is waiting to announce with conjunction with New Balance marketing. Also think we should be New Balances favourite landing spot so here’s hoping.

Chris Carter and Nick Nurse have implied it is. Who knows.

Cris Carter implied after the LA meetings, he would "go to" Toronto... not sure if he meant he'd actually physically go to Toronto but who knows lol

Yeah I totally agree with you its hard to make a solid conclusion. This is what Nurse said: "We've got a visit with Kawhi here in the next day or so."

I still have a hard time believing Kawhi came all the way back to Toronto for the Raps meeting.

If this rumour about being home and winning was true then he would have just ruled out Toronto to begin with ? Or is he just being respectful and giving them a meeting ?

I don't get why even take the meeting at all, and keep the Raptors FO guessing? You'd think there'd be indication a lot earlier. So maybe he's torn? Danny Green hasn't signed either. Just seems like a wonky situation. I also don't believe Kawhi would fly back to Toronto just to give the Raps the bad news. I guess it's professional to do it in person?

I'm assuming LeBron said that he'll give him the keys while he's there.

And once Lebron is gone, Kawhi know's that him and AD pairing can be a lethal championship calibre combo moving forward.

I think it was always all about playing close to home for Kawhi. He's just extremely attached to his family

That’s all I got. Let’s see what happens. Going to call him soon when he’s up and see if he wants to pop over here with me. So I’ll keep people posted if I go on a scouting mission.

This corroborates the stalker that posted yesterday (maybe 1-2 threads ago) about seeing Masai walking around Yorkville and then heading into the Hazelton.

I just don't get it though... It's not like Kawhi is flying to Toronto... Is he?

Maybe Masai booked the room to have a Skype chat with Kawhi?

Think it's more common sense than a rumour to be honest.
