Kaminsky is fine, he actually played pretty well down the stretch last year and is an OK positional defender who can take some charges. Certainly not a rim protector though.

That being said, he's a legit stretch 7 footer in his prime who can shoot the ball pretty darn well.

Maybe not the ideal player for us, but much better than Bender who shot 21% last year from deep.

I'm fine with this.

There are so many players still unsigned we could have done better for the room exception.

We're really punting defense, right?

Yeah F defense who needs it. And who needs to get something back in trades, it's for the birds.

It's weird because Monty was a slow pace coach in NOLA.
I dont know why people are assuming we'll an uptempo team.

I'm not really assuming that. I have no idea. He already said he sees no reason to run or something like that.

Who? To be honest... those players may not want to come here.

I think our roster is capable of playing both uptempo and slow pace.

Rubio, Mikal, Booker, Ayton, Saric are good decision makers in the half court IMO. I would prefer a high pace team though.

Only Oubre would be terrible in the slower pace.

Who starts at pf? Kaminsky or Saric. Look at their /36 numbers before you answer.

“I’m lucky,” Kaminsky said. “Phoenix was a place I really wanted to go to. My agent did a good job working with their front office and figuring out something that would work for both of us.”

Kaminsky praised his offensive game but also understood some of the advances he must make on the defensive end.

“I’m a versatile offensive player,” he said. “I’m able to do a lot of different things with the ball in my hands, without the ball in my hands.

“I think the thing I’m more proud of that I’ve done in the last couple of years is probably being able to create offense for other people on the team. I think that comes with learning the nuances of the NBA, learning other teams’ defenses, learning how to play in different situations, whether it be a switch, mismatches, different things like that.

“I’m really looking forward to improving and showing people that I can improve on the defensive end. That’s one of the biggest knocks against my game. That’s all going to change.”
