Michael Porter Jr. To Miss Summer League Following Knee Injury

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jul 5, 2019 6:04 am

Michael Porter Jr. suffered a left knee strain during a scrimmage, a league source told Mike Singer of The Denver Post.

Porter is unlikely to play in the Las Vegas Summer League, though the injury is not expected to be a long-term issue.

Porter missed all of last season following his second back surgery.

:( maaaan 2 back surgery's at such a young age is a TERRIBLE sign. I hope he makes a 90% recovery because you never come back 100 % from back surgery or major back injuries

He's obviously injury prone. His whole family is. Probably a genetics thing. I doubt he's ever going to make a big impact in the league, it's just too bad.

That’s a good bet. Wonder why the whole family has injury concerns though.

Denver GM should be fired for drafting Porter and Bol. Two guys who will never be healthy.

Yes. The possibility of possibly wasting the historically prestigious and high value-expected 14th and 44th picks is a heinous crime and definitely requires a pre-emptive firing, before any possible future dividends could possibly have been expected to pay off.

I'm starting to wonder if he's a figment of our collective imagination. I can't even blame the Nuggets staff, he just seems to be crazy injury-prone.

At least DEN kept Millsap. The FA market for PF's is rough outchea.

Probably just something to do with their genetics. The all seem to have joint/ligament/muscle issues.
It can't be a training kind of coincidence that they all ended up with career-ending injuries before they ever really started their careers. http://www.loefflerslink.com/inside-279.html

Thank you. I kind of guessed later it was Denver player. I watched Denver bit last year liked their team.

Prayers up for Michael Porter Jr. - really hate to see a young athlete battle injuries before they can show what they are capable of.

Nuggest talk a major risk by drafting him #14 - incredibly they have a deep enough roster to wither the loss of MPJ.

Wishing him a speedy recovery & showing the world what he is capable of.
