Dat2U keeping it real, as usual.
I agree that .500 basketball is a near impossibility for this team. All I'm saying is that we might be better than a 20-win embarrassment. If you have a bunch of guys who play hard every night, and you have a high usage scorer who can score with efficiency, you can beat a lot of bad teams and tired teams playing back-to-backs. I think the team can get to 25-30 wins - particularly if they add one more competent veteran forward.
You make a real good point about it being a long season though. It's easy, at the start of the season, to discuss a temporary tank-and-reload plan and stay positive about the whole thing. But in March, when the team is approaching 50 losses, Beal may no longer be such a happy warrior. That's an issue to monitor.
I don't know why everybody is so negative & upset. It's just a matter of perspective: for example there will be many stretches in which we are a .500 team for at least 2 games.
Not just that, but there will be literally dozens of situations in which we are undefeated for short stretches of one game.
What's the problem?
Whoa, extra spicy snark in that one.
What's up my brother? Tired from an especially patriotic independence day extravaganza? Bearings off because you rented a Lear jet to chase the solstice around the equator? Couldn't sleep because visions of Jemerio Jones gobbling up rebounds during summer league kept your mind racing?
I kid, of course, cuz I love.
