Nothing beyond expectation. I don't like what I see on the defensive end, especially from our draftees. Roby is really bad from both end. Kostas is not where we want to be on the defensive end. I haven't seen much actions from Reaves. Only impressive player is Payne. Decision making could be the major problems for the young fella.

Cleveland looks to be the best player on the floor for both teams.

Reaves is probably the most disappointing so far.

Also Roby looked poor defensively, Kostas could also do more

Both Roby and Reaves show flashes offensively. Unfortunately, this team needs defense out of anywhere. None of them is able to contend no. 59, who looks like easily defensible. That's really bad. The decision making in switches (getting to the right spot with better court awareness) and to close out on perimeter is still weak. Of course, the duo doesn't get blowed by a lot compared to game 1. It's still improvement. Maybe fans are expecting too much from the kids. The Mavs does need somebody who can shutdown anyone (including elite starters). At least, Roby is not avoiding contact in paint. But still, Roby has to be able to guard the perimeter. Otherwise, there's no chance Roby makes the team. The team resign DFS for a reason.

Whittington and Yudai plays smart and truely understand the role second game in a role. But of course, Cleveland is still the most ready player on the court. A step ahead of Payne. Macon is still the same self compared with last year. Not much improvement unfortunately. Comparatively, Kostas has matured a lot in term of moving without the ball and defending the paint. Still, Kostas sometimes let an opened dunk happen. The court awareness is still not enough.

Roby and Reaves playing good offense is a bonus considering they were coveted for their defense.
I wouldn't give up on either one of them but the Mavs simply have to move on from Kostas.

Whittington looked pretty good shooting the 3 but I don't see a roster spot opening for him.

Kostas seemed to have done lots of upperbody training. U cant see the bones in his arms anymore. I wouldnt give up on him yet tbh, remember he started baskeball very late and is very raw. But another season in Legends is probably best for him.

Was pretty impressed by that Clemence guy or whatever his name was in houston. Seems very hardenesque

Also, think Roby has grown. They talked about it yesterday that he looked much taller then said. And when looking at the game it did look like he was fumbling at the ball a few times when getting rebounds, like if he didnt have 100% control, which is kinda common if your arms grows fast.

What I do like about Roby is that his body do look NBA ready. Decent defense, his passing and his team play. With that said Im pretty sure RC will have him on the roster

looks like the rookies and Kostas are going to continue to go through learning pains as is expected for those who are new and still growing physically. If Roby can grow and get bigger he will be worth even more. Kostas hopefully has gotten longer as well but he still looks like a skinny kid. Maybe we need to get that guy who worked with that center out of Texas who went to Orlando he has put on a lot of weight already.

He probably is, but I think he’s worth keeping just to have as a bargaining chip when the Giannis sweepstakes begins, if nothing else.

Cuban should be wining and dinning Kostas' parents every night until 2021. The time for legalized tampering has arrived.
