If he is the guy who ultimately gets the story, I would be really happy for the dude

Ira's true identity is Captain Obvoius

Father of Jake, husband of Sheri, stunningly mediocre in tennis, too passionate about New York Rangers, oh, and cover Miami Heat for South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Ira is constantly jabbing at players he doesn’t like. Ask Hassan.

I've long believed that Ira = Barry Jackson's plug. Glad I'm not the only one.

Is there a quote or confirmation to what he actually said on 560?

Note: he's speculating on what Westbrook is thinking, but I thought it was interesting enough to share

Hope it's something like...

Miami Westbrook
OKC Dragic, J.R. Smith ++
Cleve. Waiters +

Absolute no to Adebayo. Not more than 1 of Winslow, Herro. Team could be really good if they can tame Westbook a bit.

Westbrook/Winslow
Butler/Herro
Winslow/DJJ
Olynyk/J.J.
Adebayo/Leonard

This is a good tidbit, look for this deal to likely be done by July 15th at the latest if the Heat can convince Cleveland include JR Smith in the deal to save OKC money now. I think this would eliminate teams like Detroit from the picture as they'd likely need to include Snell's expiring which they cant trade until August 20th.

They deleted the tweet but basically was pointing out that the 15th is the last day that JR's contract can be waived to save
$12mil cap space, which with OKC heading to the lottery with a heavy tax bill this will be extremely valuable to them.

Nothing really new today. The biggest bombshell was Woj putting our name out there with mutual interest. However like he even said, mutual interest doesn't mean a deal will be made.

Somebody put out some idea of us getting Westbrook and Beal while OKC gets Wall and picks. I'd give up Winslow/Herro if it meant getting both Beal and Westbrook, shoot...

Beal is a great piece next to Jimmy though, more than Westbrook. Just don't see the incentive for Washington to give up their young star unless they feel crippled by Wall's contract.

Guy who came up with that rumor is in full blown troll mode.
