So... I assume Memphis is going to keep Igoudala as a mentor for its young core.

Ok, take the out Suns 2nd, would Fournier/2020 1st for Iggy work?.......:P. With the absence of both Conley and Gasol now, it would make sense for Iggy to carry short term value to Grizz as a mentor to a young team. Unless a legitimate contender provides a expiring contract and 1st (ie. Shumpert + 2021 1st), I dont see Grizz biting on a deal.

At this rate, I'm thinking no team is too desperate to want Iggy in a trade. With the Warriors, they were desperate because of the signing of DLo put them in the position of being over the tax. Essentially it's only a matter of time before talks of a buyout will take place.

Yeah, they already got a nice pick for him, so buying him out rather than holding him hostage in either a 'mentorship' role or a lost cause where they're not gonna contend for a title (plus they probably want to lose enough to keep their own first anyways) is probably worth more in terms of reputation than whatever meager value they could get by flipping him elsewhere.

Given the stage where Iggy is in his career, I was very surprise that he was worth a future first at this stage of his career. Sometimes it goes to how desperate a team is to try to avoid the luxury tax if possible.

it’s probably been posted but I’d give up a shiny Dallas 2nd and some cash with Lee. I think Iggy would be good for Luka (and JJ if I want to be a homer and believe in him)

That was a trade I was thinking the other day. However, I don't know where the Mavericks are in terms of the salary cap and if possible take Iggy into their cap space.

Plus the Grizzlies just did a S&T Delon Wright to the Mavs a few days earlier for two seconds. It wasn't specify which years these seconds would be due to the Grizzlies.

The 2nds are Portland 2021 and the lesser of Miami/Dallas 2023. I'd be fine with Lee+2nd or two for Iggy and then we waive Lee. Dallas doesn't have the room to take in Iggy for cap space anymore now that they are signing their guys and acting as an over the cap team.

I half expect a 2am Woj Bomb in regards to Iggy or some other random Memphis move while people are slightly on edge for a Westbrook trade ha.

Although I would not mind that, the Grizzlies still have: Anderson, Jackson, Brooks, Caboclo, Crowder, and Hill to deal with as SFs right now. And additions by subtraction will need to come from the Grizzlies side. In this trade's case, it's coming from the Mavs rather than the Grizzlies in this case.

Although I expect WB to be moved any day now, it won't be as impacting like last Friday night when the Kawhi/PG13 news broke. That was edge worthy news.

Trade Crowder and Brooks. Cut Hill. Bruno at the 4.

Crowder is still on the trade block along with Iggy

Hill and Howard are buyout candidates. I'm expecting those to go down anyday.

Brooks should be 100% after having a rough year with injuries. I'm thinking he will be review to determine whether he has a spot on the team or not going forward.

Bruno is getting some love in Memphis. Depending on the new coach, he will likely be going between SF/PF positions based on matchups.

I think the Spurs are better off holding on to their draft pick this year as this draft is expecting to be a good one.

Here's another deal to consider since they lost out on Marcus Morris.

Mills and Belinelli and a future 2020 or 2021 second

TO

Charlotte for M.Williams and 3.3M TPE
