I've said this before, but playing time might be an issue for him. The Pelicans have a lot of guards.

Great to see NAW playing so well. I hyped him up all season on the Draft Board and the draft thread on the Heat Board.

I compared him to Donovan Mitchell, not style-wise, but in that he was a prospect that most considered as one with role player potential that I felt had clear star potential. D-Mitch gave me bragging rights, hopefully NAW does too.

The Pels summer league team could be my fav ever. Just wow. They really get after it on D. NAW looks phenomenal.

This draft was bizarre. A lot of players that I think will be some of the better players in the draft were picked much later on or went undrafted. THT has a chance to be really good too. Louis the King. Even Bol just fell too far.

Terence Davis just got guaranteed a 2 year contract by the Raps

Honestly the NBA could have G-League and D-League (Like AAA, AA) and they'd still have too much talent.

Bolden was so overshadowed at Duke. He is a definite NBA role player in my eyes. Solid defensively and very underrated as a post option.

The kid is just way too upright and stiff, but that’s not even his biggest problem. The guy has no right hand at all. I don't think I’ve seen a single pass completed from him with his off hand. For him to even sniff success at the next level, he needs to learn to use his off hand better, because right now it’s non existent, and every play he attempts is pretty obvious.

He has the tools to be a solid pro, but I’m not sensing star player from him CURRENTLY, but that doesn’t mean he can’t become one. Barrett IMO is the biggest project in this draft, unfortunately I don’t think the Knicks are the ideal landing spot for him. Who knows... maybe playing through his mistakes will prove to be beneficial to RJ.

He also has lift of a 30 year old Zach randolph

What are your thoughts on Thybulle. Looks like he can be a defender like Roco while and a very good 3pt shooter in the future

He is also a year younger than most of these players, so he is very advanced relative to his age. You cannot separate age and development. You can't project an 18 year old (he is 19) the same way you do a 2nd round pick at age 22.

he's gonna be a menace on defense, can easily guard 1-3 and some 4s, only question mark is where he'll contribute offensively...if he continues to shoot 3s at this clip he has starting potential for sure. probably a better version of Andre Roberson.

His TOs have been problematic. His ball handling skill level is horrible as of now.

But man.. he projects to be an elite defender and a very good 3pt shooter. Like a rich man’s Robert Covington.

i think he's closer to Roberson than Covington offensively, but if he continues to improve from 3pt range I can see the Roco comp as well

Luka Samanic: 11pts / 11rbs / 3asts / 3stls, +18 in a game Spurs lost

this guy looks a bit more ready for this level than many thought...a lot of people thought he's a D+S

the RJ = Barnes comps are weird

we're coming off a game where RJ just recorded his second double-double...21/10/4 after going 17/10/6, he's a ramp up player, he gets better the more he plays because his bruising style really

and the Barnes comp is a bad one...Barnes never had the handling, driving or playmaking ability of RJ...probably a worse rebounder too.

They kinda look similar and are a similar height?

RJ had a better game tonight. I get the sense he bulked and just wasn't as mobile the first few games as he's used to. The shot is an issue and hopefully it comes around.

He’s more of Roberson than Roco with his shooting. He is shooting almost 40% on 3s with 2.2 makes and 90FT% in SL.

If it becomes clear that there isn't enough spacing later on, Im sure they will just send Ball to the bench and JJ into the starting lineup. I do think people are expecting way too much from NAW though. With Ball, Jrue, JJ, Hart and Frank, I dont see him getting much playing time this year.

Ingram wont start.. E'Twaun Moore will be at SF

RJ to me is Anthony Mason.. he'll have to be a small ball .. hustling.. defending.. utility 4 to be successful.. and that's a tall task for a 6'6 player with only good length

He's far more Tyreke Evans than he is Barnes. Similar size, athleticism and skill set to Evans. RJ with a very different mindset though.
