What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but I wonder how his defense translates to the NBA. He might end up a solid 3 point shooter but not the defender that he was in college. I think that while his steals and blocks go way down, he'll still cause havoc with deflections - a lot like Covington did when he was in Philly.

Claiming Hayes is the 2nd best player in the draft is ludicrous , saying he could become the 2nd best player in the draft suggesting you see him as the 2nd best prospect in the draft however is reasonable provided over the course of several years he actually develops an NBA level game besides rim running and shot blocking.

Please stop trying to pretend you have knowledge that I don't possess.
The fact you ignore the point that NAW ability as a player right now is head and shoulders better than Hayes is laughable, & basically what I read is you are trying to twist my words to imply I meant NAW is the better long term prospect which is ignorant..
even though I did imply NAW has a much higher floor and an easier road to high level success in a shorter timeframe and I wouldn't put it past him to be one of the top 3 guards from this class in a couple years... Hayes would have to fail to improve though in that scenario... as he certainly possess' the physical frame/athleticism etc to become even more than NAW...even though the odds are never good

Here's the post you were initially responding to, bud.

If this is now the thread to prematurely brag about things that confirm what you thought a couple weeks ago, Jaxson Hayes has 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 blocks, and the dunk of the summer league in the first 9 minutes of his debut. I think the Pelicans have the 2 best prospects from this draft.

Aside from the 3rd-grade writing/reading comprehension on display constantly, it really speaks to how you just toss out some word salad without putting any real thought into it if you can simultaneously be like "he has DPOY upside but eh he's decent value at #8 don't get too excited" as if there are 7 future all-NBA players coming out of this weak draft.

You did fine when you pointed out the word prospect in your original post which I didn't catch at the time, but then you follow it up with the 3rd grade insults etc.
Yeah my Daddy didn't hold my hand through prep school and my English is 2nd language so GFYS

Or, maybe just not post as much if you aren't 100% sure what someone is saying. Would save a lot of threads from being clogged up with garbage.

I'll just assume your childhood experiences have contributed to your pathetic view on life and it isn't your fault because it's clear you believe you have not at all contributed to the garbage as you put it...I'll give you this for a blind man you sure know how to walk away

Guys, I'm too lazy to give either of you a warning, so you'll just have to stop the insults yourselves. Thanks - Ruz

Hayes 6-8 from the floor, 1-1 from 3...dude is now hittin 3s in live games, look out.

his rate at the rim is gonna be ridiculous in the NBA when he gets stronger and has all that space

Doesn't matter, both players look great and Pelicans are building a team full of young talent.

So far it seems like I wasn't so unreasonable to see NAW's ceiling as one of a star, not one of a role player.

Luka Samanic: 11pts / 11rbs / 3asts / 3stls, +18 in a game Spurs lost

this guy looks a bit more ready for this level than many thought...a lot of people thought he's a D+S

Spurs are super deep but after losing Bertans I could see him getting some mins here in his rook season

Herro has a fantastic pace to his game, feel and enough tools along with incredible touch, he is already setting his feet and keeping balance on tough attempts, there is like no way he fails

Add in his work-ethic, and he is going to be a star, at the very least low-level occasional All Star type

I had him 4th, and should've had him 3rd

I was also too low on Hayes (after having had him too high in-season, as high as nº3 at one point) if this bounciness that he has shown is here to stay

NAW has looked crisp too

Tyler Herro going against my own personal belief shouldn't take white players in lottery.

So if Herro is going to be that good, NAW is a certified superstar in the making, right? Like All-Nba before his rookie deal ends.

This SL is so watered down in talent because nearly all the best players are being load managed. I'd rather wait until PS to get how these rooks can adjust playing with his starters and rotation players.

That guy Braz has to be the steal of the draft. His highlight vids in college don't deviate much from SL. Braz doesn't have the dog in him, call it the Canadian wolf. Very hard nosed player.

Grant and Carsen are such good picks for Boston, and Fall actually looks like he'll stick around, and they still have Romeo who hasn't played because of the hand injury
