Yeah, it's a bit much. I mean, absolute congratulations to the Raptors and Kawhi for the title - they earned it. All you can do is play whoever is in front of you, and they played very well. So, no question of "deserving" the championship or anything like that.
However, nothing that KD and the W's have done this offseason had anything to do with losing to the Raps. Kawhi and the Raptors are completely inconsequential as far as the state of the W's is concerned (other than the injuries happening during that series). And, as noted, the W's are still around. They still have Steph, and Klay, and Draymond. They've grabbed a pretty decent replacement for KD (no, not as good as KD, of course, but still a very good player). W's aren't going anywhere and will continue to compete for titles for at least the next several years. So the entire premise that the dynasty is over is off to begin with (unless folks have a very narrow definition of dynasty that would exclude a franchise as soon as they fail to win a title).
So, kudos to Kawhi and the Raptors for winning the title. Not an easy thing to do. But that's as far as it goes.
