Id give Sekou and a first(s?) with us being capped out I think keeping Kenard is important.
Sekou has the higher ceiling though. Once we get towards the deadline we could find shooters and actually be suitors for good buy out candidates if our record is good enough.

But I dont think the money would be there. Would it? Sekou has a higher ceiling but trading for WB we need good cheap players like Kenard. Either way I'm with you homeboy give me a Westbrook and Blake lead team, it possible we could make the Finals.

Re: Trade for Westbrook?
Any way we can facilitate a trade of Russ to MIA.
If Presti wants a complete rebuild.
MIA Out - Dragic, Winslow and pick stuff
DET Out - Langston and Thon, and a 2nd
OKC Out- Russ
MIA In - Russ
DET In - Winslow
OKC In - Dragic, Langston, Thon ($30M expirings) plus OKC pick stuff and a Det 2nd
Reggie/Rose/Frasier
Brown/Kennard/Thomas
Winslow/Snell/Sekou/Svi
Griffin/Kieff
Dre/????
Still need a backup C
I think Sekou is a PF so grabbing Winslow.

Yeah I've been thinking Magic as well. They could offer the best package. Magic are also happy just going for the 2nd round.
We should Be too since we haven’t been there in over a decade...
I could care less about making the 2nd round. I want to build a team that contends for titles.
As long as Blake is healthy hes going to opt out in two seasons for one last contract. We could be sitting on a no Dre/Blake team. Were very close to being able to rebuild. We shouldnt be trading for another 30+ huge contract past prime player to chase the 2nd round and prolong rebuilding longer.
As I've stated before if we want to pick up a guy like DRuss in a trade im all for it. Hes 23 we can rebuild around him,Kennard, and Sekou. That would be a nice core. I know we dont have the assets to get DRuss but thats the type of player a team like us should trade for not a 30year old max guy most teams dont even want.

Also FWIW Westbrook just unfollowed the Miami Heat account (according to GB trade thread)
I'd take CP3 if it came with a couple of firsts.
Pistons get CP3, 2020 1st, and 2022 1st.
Houston gets Westbrook and Thon
OKC gets Jackson, Galloway, and Khyri Thomas (gets them out of luxury tax territory)
Gives us a team that can compete in playoffs next year and a couple of future picks to help rebuild down the road.

Blake would need to sign off on CP3. His salary is large, but coincides with Blake's 3 years. Of Pistons could get CP3 and grab a pick or two that would be epic.

Agreed. This would be an acceptable trade from my point of view as well.

Alrighty, there we go. Let folks swoop in to bewail this.
For me, I'm relieved. We could have beaten that package easily and we didn't. That gives me hope.

Phew.
If I'm OKC I'm really bummed by this. That's essentially a cap neutral deal until 2022, and they just got 2 picks and 2 picks swaps that are unlikely to be used.
This does speak to how low the value on Westbrook was though. Nobody was willing to take on that salary really AND give up assets.

Chris Paul won't be a thing coming here because of Blake. Paul will go to Miami more than likely.
