Houston is flying

Post#1 » by Krazykiwi » Fri Jul 12, 2019 1:17 am

Under the radar now. Cp3 was always hurt the last two years and the Rockets still remained as one of the top 2-3 teams without him, now they added Westbrook, he’s still an Uber talent just playing the game the wrong way. If Mike D Antonio can get Westbrook buyin to the system , defer to Harden a bit,and play game the right way, this Rockets team can very well win the whole thing next year .

Westbrook
Harden
Gordon
Tucker
Capela

Monster lineup, it gives Houston a different dimension on the offense end now that Westbrook can drive to the rim at will instead of a slow ass CP3.

Houston should be one of the best 3 teams in the west along with the two LA teams.

There's bad fits, and then there's Westbrook and Harden.

They've got 2 legit shooters on that lineup.

CP3 was underrated for them..they need him for the playoffs. But we'll see how it'll pan out.

Chris Paul is a better player, and a better fit. Good luck.

2 Hot Dogs.

Can they sacrifice their game to take a crack at the LAs?

Ironically CP3 was a better fit alongside harden than Westbrook. Personality issues aside, Westbrook cannot space the floor for Harden... CP3 would punish you if you collapsed on Harden... They will just let Westbrook shoot.

2 1st and 2 pick swaps... and I am not sure they got the better player.

True and False.

Westbrook a starting PG with Harden coming off the bench, bad fit. (OKC model)

Harden a starting PG with Westbrook a slashing scoring guard with the ball in his hands less, much better fit. (Houston model)

If the Lakers play big then Houston could have a strong advantage drawing fouls

The Harden and CP3 thing was clearly done, but I'm not sold at all on Westbrook and Harden as a good fit. Two of the highest usage guards in NBA history.

Still, it gives them some sort of shot, at least freshens them up for the big challenges coming out of L.A.

Wow, that's going to be fun to watch. I have no idea whether to expect a Western Conference finalist or a decent team that won't get over a hump because they don't mesh well schematically or personally.

So... it didn't work with Melo or CP3. But we're supposed to believe Westbrook is the key that unlocks it all?

Sorry, not buying it.

This is the final nail in the coffin for Houston, and now missing 2 picks and 2 picks swaps, going to be a long decade

It did almost work with CP3, they were a win away from possibly stunning GS until he got hurt......

Because Paul wanted out, he's also getting older.
