It’s like people never learn. First they thought Westbrook couldn’t possibly bring back first round picks and Presti might even consider giving away picks (lol for real, how moronic). Now talk about giving away picks just to get rid of CP3. I’m looking at you, r/heat. When he’s moved, it will be no worse than a straight salary dump. We’re not giving away picks to clear space so that we can take on bad contracts and replace those picks we just gave up. Just use common sense.

this is an excellent point. we don't necessary want any short term talent in return for paul. houston did. as evidenced by the trade. paul may be easier to trade if wer're just looking to dump him as cleanly as possible and not worry about the immediate impact it would have on our team.

Totally agree with this. Two teams with two very different goals and trajectories. I am pretty confident that OKC can find a palatable deal out there for CP3. One that didn’t make sense for the Rockets but that does make sense for the Thunder.

People who understand the negative impact of Russ to on the court performance. OKC got better and got assets. CP3 should be easier to trade to Miami, or another team that wants to win, than Russ was. I really don't understand this from Houston's side. Either the CP3/Harden conflict was too much and something had to be done or Morey is getting desperate to make something happen and that includes abandoning what he knows in order to add a player that doesn't fit and drops Houston's ceiling from WCF to first round exit.

I really want herro he look good , and if we can trade cp3 to miami for him and some players even if we give a lac and dever picks that dont project to be lottery i am happy , we are giving picks that would be high for a player we are looking that can be good, is that or using a 25 to 30 pick to select a mitch, huesti, perry jones type of player , we have to look at boston they get a lots of picks and dont get a lot of good players

Russ is def the better player over the duration of that contract. You guys are underestimating how much impact competent roster construction and coaching will have on his game.
