PG- who ever was the most accurate 3pt shooter bet Caruso,Daniels,Cook in practice- He needs to hit a couple of 3's to open the lanes for everyone esp Davis.
SG- Green, to stand in his favorite corner and hit those 3's and play good defense.
SF- James, as the initiator on offense, reading the defense etc.
PF, Davis
Center McGee.
Kuzma subs for Davis after the 7 min mark.
2nd quarter, AD comes back with to team with DMC, Kuz,Rondo and Daniels and hopefully re-create the vaunted '17-18 Pelicans who swept the Blazers 2 playoffs ago.

With the Lakers putting Lebron at PG , the move indicates that they are planning to put Kuzma in the starting lineup.

PG: Lebron
SG: Green
SF: kuzma
PF: AD
C: Cousins ( relationship with AD, higher potential than Javale so im positive he is the starting center.)

I would put LeBron on a 34 minute limit until after the All Star break. For the first 2 months, I might even keep him on a 32 minute limit. Here's my rotation:

PG: KCP [20]/ Rondo [20]/ LeBron [8]
SG: Green [32]/ Bradley [16]/
SF: LeBron [26]/ Kuzma [10]/ Dudley [12]/
PF: Davis [20]/ Kuzma [22]/ Dudley [6]
C: Cousins [24]/ Davis [14]/ McGee [10]

Davis: 34 mins
LeBron: 34 mins
Kuzma: 32 mins
Green: 32 mins
Cousins: 24 mins
Rondo: 20 mins
KCP: 20 mins
Bradley: 16 mins
Dudley: 18 mins
McGee: 10 mins

Nights that Cousins has it going well, I don't even want to see McGee on the court. I imagine we'll always see Rondo or James on the court at all times, which I'm fine with from a creating offence perspective. In that starting line-up, you're able to start KCP and Danny Green together because all of the ball handling will fall to LeBron/Davis and even Cousins. Cousins, prior to the injury, was excellent in transition and bringing the ball up the court. Hopefully he can get back to that.

If we can get Iguoudala, that would take this roster to the next level. It would allow us to sit LeBron more games. And since we have Dudley, we wouldn't have to play Iguoudala for anything more than 55-60 games.

I like something like this

C - Cousins
F - Davis
F - James
G - Green
G - Bradley

With LBJ controlling the tempo and running the offense.

Then I’d go for speed with the bench unit

C - McGee
F - Kuzma
F - *
G - Caldwell-Pope
G - Rondo

* Use one of Dudley, Cook, Daniels, Caruso depending on matchups and switch KCP over to the toughest wing

This lineup is what I hope will start.

Rondo has been a terrible pairing with LeBron and Cousins. He has played well with Bradley and AD. I think he's suitable with 3+D SG/SF and C's that grab board.

Rondo, Bradley/Caruso, KCP/Green, Kuzma/AD, McGee is probably the right backup lineup.

Miles burner account? :)

There are likely 2-3 players ahead of Caruso.

Agree with the bold part. That was my initial reaction also. However, I think it's more likely Kuz starts at the 4 and AD shifts to the 5. I'm hesitant to start Cousins at the 5 this soon. The lineup you mentioned appears to have 3 below average defenders in Bron, Kuz, and Cousins... this is a recipe for a disaster.

JMHO ... i like DMC coming off the bench and having restricted minutes with his history over the past two-years. I'd be careful with him.

I'd put Caruso in the starting lineup and then move Bradley to the bench SG, shift KCP to the bench SF.

Rondo and Bradley traditionally have great chemistry from Boston days. Those two could really lead that bench unit. Need a good SG to make up for Rondo's defense limitations.

How often is it safe too change lineups upon playing different teams?

Our main line up might play well vs Clippers but that same line up might suck vs say Boston

How often will our new coach change line ups depending on the team we play??

I mean we know AD/Bron will be in starting line up no matter what

But surely we can change the line ups depending on the team we play on each given night?
By rotating Kuz/Mcgee/Rondo/caruso etc

I like Caruso starting too but would put Cousins to the bench and let McGee start. AD rest after 7 mins in favor of Kuzma then comesback fresh at the start of 2nd quarter to team up with Cousins, Rondo, Bradley and Kuzma. Hopefully they form that strong 2nd unit ala '17 Pelicans that swept the favored Blazers 2 playoffs ago. Yes, Bradley is not Jrue but hopefully against the opposing bench, it shouldn't be a problem.

Fellas, you don’t change your starting lineup due to the opponent... You adjust your substitution patterns... Lakeshow will start:

PG: LBJ
SG: Green
SF: Kuzz
PF: AD
C: McGee

Lakeshow Baby...

Kuzma off the bench isn’t a bad idea. He still gets the same amount of minutes but brings energy to the second unit.

Regarding playtime, I really hope they limit LeBron’s minutes. Luke overplayed him last year, more so than our young guys.

If LBJ is our point guard, this starting line-up would be my best bet.

PG: James
SG: Green
SF: Kuzma
PF: Davis
C: McGee
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Ok, sorry bout that CP3 joke.
Now just focusing on shooters.
But the best shooter of our point guards is
Cook. The best SG shooter weve got on the books, is Green. Based just on shooting alone, not goin into defense, passing etc... The backcourt would theorerically be set. (again, just talking shooting)
Cook/Green back court.

Based on historical minutes and fit, here is my prediction:

Starters: AD, Bron, Kuz, Boogie, Green

Anthony Davis 32
Lebron James 32
Kyle Kuzma 28
DeMarcus Cousins 26
Danny Green 26
KCP 22
Avery Bradley 22
Alex Caruso 20
Jared Dudley 16
JaVale McGee 16

I don't have any minutes for Cook/Rondo/Daniels, but obviously they will play some depending on rest days, injuries, etc. this is just minutes in a typical game.

Would love to see a drastic Pop like minutes restriction on everyone. Much better to take a few extra L's and drop down to the 4 spot and have everyone healthy going in to the playoffs. Also, Rondo and Lebron never see the floor at the same time. Lebron full time SF, AD full time PF.

PG: Caruso (20) Rondo (20) Cook (8)
SG: Green (30) Bradley (10) KCP (8) THT
SF: Lebron (30) Kuzma (15) KCP (3) Daniels
PF: AD (30) Kuzma (15) Dudley (3)
C: Boogie (26) McGee (22)

You seriously only give Mcgee 16 min a game?

He deserves more then that at least 20-25 min

Let Cousins earn his playing time - which I'm sure he will by allstar break but until then Mcgee deserves minutes I mentioned above
